Seb and Josh, this isn't something anybody should ever have to experience but the way people got behind you and supported you throughout was amazing. The most important thing is that you guys are ok and escaped the incident unharmed but the people of the internet can give themselves a pat on the back for being so awesome to come together in this way. What a crazy story Seb. At the end of the day, I am happy you are ok. We have an amazing YouTUBE and social media family. These things are never expected or predicable but glad you are ok. No life is worth a car. When you are running so fast, you get tunnel vision and time gets compressed. The adrenaline does that. Remember, you (we) are never alone. Glad it all worked out.

I've been following this unfolding saga through social media and I had this overwhelming sense of resentment (towards the criminals in question) and confusion. Why anyone would rob someone who worked hard for their personal property is beyond me and then in Paris of all places..? Glad you got your car back... Now, in the coming days, you may feel like disconnected from your car, that feeling that someone put its dirty hands on your beloved Lotus and will probably want to sell it and forget this all story. That happened to me back in 1992 when my car was stolen... We never found it but I bet i would never feel the same with the car being touched by a bad person... Anyway, again, glad you found the Lotus and both of you are here telling the story...

I was on vacation in Puerto Rico with my family, and I had read about car jackings happening in San Juan, where coincidentally, we were staying. Our plane landed late, around 12ish and we rented out a well-equipped, brand new, Ford Explorer. As we drove down toward the hotel, I remember just feeling guilty for doubting everyone for being a car jacker. All the people out at night were just watching us go by and it was the eeriest feeling ever. At stoplights I would always be checking for people walking around, and when we got to the hotel, I waited in the car as my dad checked in and whenever I saw headlights, or people walking down the street, I would just sit as still as possible to avoid getting seen. As my dad came out, and was getting into the car, a man approached us claiming to be a valet. I later found out that there was a private parking garage on the other side where you say your room number and name and they let you in. The guy asked for money and the keys so he could park the car. My dad knew something was up so he said that he left his wallet in the car and went back to "get it". As soon as he got in, he started the car and floored it out of there. I remember looking back through the mirror and seeing the guy come after us. Though our car didn't get stolen, I can relate to what you went through. With everything going on in the world, especially the recent misfortunes in Paris, I hope nothing like this happens to you or anyone else! Stay safe!

Dude the day I heard about it I started panicking and everything because I live in Paris and I couldn't believe what had happened so I took my German Shepherd and started walking in the streets. Nothing to see in the 16e where all the rich (and mostly old) people live though ;D I'm glad that I was a part of this though (even if I didn't find it) and that you managed to get it back the day you had it stolen.

Man, Paris is becoming a shithole. I was robbed at gunpoint years ago (here in America) getting into my car but thankfully the guy didn't shoot and just took my wallet and ran away (he was quickly caught though), but it was crazy, you don't think anything at the time, feels like you are in a dream and it didn't hit me until a few hours later and then I became super pissed. Nobody should ever have to go through that.

You should give the guy who posted the picture of your car at the petrol station a ride in your car! If he wants his ears to bleed of course...

I was devastated they did that to my son, my sons bike was not expensive but it meant so much to him. The police didn't catch the culprits, it was dumped in an area notorious for people using stolen bikes. My son helps everyone and is so kind seeing him devastated was heartbreaking.
