My cat follows me around the house and sleeps next to me. As soon as I wake up for the day he's up and following me around. He screams when I go to the bathroom and shut the door and when I go to the garage to leave for work. I feel bad for wanting space but I'm starting to lose my mind lol

My sweet boy talks to me non-STOP lately! We always talk throughout the day, but he is insistent even if we've got new food & water, clean litter, and fresh bedding... It's driving me bonkers!!

My clingy cat has me so depressed and sad. She is so dang needy and I do love her but now I can't ever relax, read a book, or enjoy a game. If I do play a game I just waiting till she whines and jumps on me. I spend tons of time with her as Im at home most of the time. I love her so much but Im beginning to hate being at my own house. Im gonna try a few things but I am afraid its just gotten too bad.

I feel you. And worse they get even more insecure if you have time apart sometimes j dread going in the house when I have something important to get on with because he just overrides that demanding food and crying and then I forget what I had to do and get mad. maybe I'll try these tips

My cat starts meowing incessantly the second i leave the room. Waits for me outside the door, even figured out how to jump up to the doorknob lol 😂 she was originally feral and i personally raised her so pretty sure she looks to me as her mom and guide. She's getting more confident with age so time will tell ❤

My Nahal is still clingy but it’s better since we got him a buddy . I started fostering kittens. We only kept Artie because it was evident both boys really liked each other. Nahal no longer wakes us up vocalizing. Artie and him are best buds. This has helped nahal’s anxiety.

Our 11 week old scottish fold is so cute n me n my sister take turns sleeping with him. He gets upset n lonely even if we leave him alone for 10 mins. We love him a lot n cant resist that sweet face. If we r in another room he puts his small hands under the door n tries to touch us n meows.

One of my rescue baby who is 7yrs old now is so clingy but not to me, she always follows my mom and is always asking for attention and getting jealous over my mom's dog. I see it as cute and funny

Also, she wakes me up every morning, and it is annoying, it's difficult to watch tv, cause Frosty has to be petted and she resents whenever I pick up the remote, or anything

its cute, but everytime i freaking eat hes all over me 24/7. If I am on my PC he is biting my mouse or charger. It is cute when I am playing with the cat or going to bed/chilling. When I actually have stuff to do it gets annoying. He keeps jumping on and off me and my table. Lays down in front of my PC and walks back and forth... It might sound cute, but it gets annoying very quick. Always constant sound too. Maybe you like seeing clingy cats, but having one is a different story unless you literally dont care about buying new things constantly. He was just whining because I had to take him out of my work room a second ago. Having a meeting? Dont be surprised if little guy starts whining loud.. I love my cat and will keep him forever, but man is it a pain even when sleeping he messes with things and will step on you etc. Kick him out the room? Have fun being woken up at like 3-6am.. Lmfao its adorable to other people who dont own one.

@@Kenyagirly lol… I PROMISE YOU I give him a ton of attention literally my entire family does. He’s never alone unless he genuinely chills somewhere else. Otherwise it’s constant meowing until you always let him be next to you. Like I said it’s cute for someone else to see, but as an actual owner of the cat it gets old lol, but I still love him and always will. He gets perfect high quality food lol. Two water bowls. 3 litter boxes. Huge cat tree, tons of toys, both human interactive and toys that interact with the cat as well. It’s not a brag, but our house is a good size so it’s not like he’s in a small space lol dudes got 6,000+ sq ft of chilling. In a couple rooms we have huuuge windows and he can chill there we have chairs for him etc. It’s just annoying because even with my laptop he looks to rub against it and it sucks because it’s like dude… I’m trying to work rn stop🤣🤣 I will say he’s DEFINITELY gotten better. Now the annoying thing is closed doors he just can’t stand it because he knows someone is in there and he wants to be around us lol. He’s super clingy. So no it’s not a lack of attention we do everything you should/can do to please him. He just won’t stop being so clingy. No one has any real advice they just say what you say, which not to be rude is useless to me because it’s like gee thanks tell me something I don’t know. Don’t act like I don’t give my cat enough attention lol hes the only cat I’ve ever witnessed that’s like this. He’s a cutie, but he’s a VERY VERY needy cutie🤣🤣 Anyways have a good one!

I have three cats and they are sweet but clingy towards me. They don’t really play with each other. I have a nice sized house but they want to stay in my room most of the time. I just kicked them out so I can do some breathwork and meditate.

Really hoping to help my cat with this. She has two other cats to play with but she just wants to follow me around and murr to be picked up, then instantly starts purring and rubbing on my hands to pet her more. It's I guess the dream relationship some would want with their cat, but sometimes it becomes a problem because I can't use the computer, do homework, eat, or do chores without putting her in another room. Wonder if it's because she's being bullied by the other cats, but I've never seen it.

Went to my aunt and uncles farm for a holiday. When i gave a tiny kitten a cardboard box then it would not let me go. One day it could hear me come and it started meowing thinking i was its dad. As It was a barn cat i had to leave it be when time was to go home...

Mine pees when I pee even in the middle of the night. Then, I go to bed, and here she comes. On me, follows me, sits on me, and I want to take her to the vet, then my car died. Stressed out week from HELL! 😡

My cat is extremely clingy, and she is afraid of all strangers, plus I can't get her to a vet, cause it's nearly impossible to get her in a cat carrier

@@Kenyagirly Woah...that's incredibly aggressive of you. A cat being left alone for four days with adequate food, water fountain, and clean litter box with lots of litter should be fine. Though you should never leave a cat longer than that. And you should have somebody stop by to check on the cat a few times. A cat will likely be upset and even moody if you leave it alone for four days. But it will survive.

My cat is really clingy now, I am home all of the time because I study online. He hates it if I close doors and he lays on my computer when I do my homework. He is 11 and he often sits in front of the apartment door when I leave and come back. I would think he is bored or lonely being the only cat in a small one bedroom apartment. But even when his sister was alive he didn't hang out or played with her so...getting another cat won't help, i think.

Have u tried taking your cat to a vet, because in some cases clinginess could be a symptom of possible medical issues, not always but definitely wouldn't hurt to find out.
