She looks relaxed and content. Cats don't normally like to picked up but they can learn to accept it once you earn their trust. It's important to take it slow and let them come to you. Hissing isn't a sign of aggression, she's only telling you off because you did something she didn't like.

Lady Lila is a like a feisty kitten. Actually if you adopt full grown cats - it's a bit more effort to train them to accept humans as friends and co-habitants because by default, in the wild, they are programmed to be wary of humans (and beings of other species.) Only when you raise them from a v young age they get more comforable with us cat mommies and daddies. But you'll get there. The key is patience. Also, treat them like a child - not punish for a fault or misdemeanor - just continue trying newer ways to teach the same thing. I am also an advocate of not declawing them unless you have fragile furniture/linen or little human kids at home. Because some times adopted cats like to sneak out and if they meet a potential predator/enemy - they won't have their defence mechanism in full form. My 2 cents :) Also, I am glad to see Lila get cosier at her new place :) Thank you for all the efforts, and sharing these videos.👍
