Never easy to say goodbye , they never stay long enough.. RIP Stella..

We just did this to our cat last week. She also had a cancerous tumor, and it was gut wrenching to watch her fade. It still hurts, but we know it was the right thing to do. We miss you, Coco.

I cried thru the whole video. I've had many cats that I've had to put to sleep also. It is with compassion that we not let them suffer. You will see Stela again at the rainbow bridge. Grief is the price we pay for Love.

Giving your pet and family member the last act of kindness (I learned this from a horse rescue in Tennessee that take sick, old, young, injured and those that need to be given the last act of kindness but are sent to auction instead) is so sad to do but the moments we have with them we will cherish forever. Yes these videos are going to be hard to watch but you will cherish the memory you habe with her.

This video really hit home for me. I experienced the same situation almost 4 years ago, when my family cat had to put down. It really doesn’t matter, pet or human. It hurts like hell and it took me a good couple of months before the pain eased up slightly. I still walk around my house even now and see my sweet Millie, where she used to relax and ask for cuddles. I’m so sorry guys, loss is one of the hardest things to deal with in life. I'm sorry, I hope you can remember the good times now looking back and know she is without pain. I am preparing to say farewell to my cat in a few days. It's hard because she isn't showing any signs of pain but we know things are internally getting worse. I am very grateful that you shared this journey. The explanation of the hiding behavior at the beginning makes me realize just how much my sweet kitty trusted me. She was put down on April 24th this year. She was born with some kidney issues and only lived just under 4 years. When she first started getting real sick, she would hide in the closet or bathtub, and she would barely eat or drink. I would bring her food to her and care for her so she could just sit and rest. Eventually she quit hiding and would just stay with me. We stayed together every day for the last week of her life, I even brought her with me to a couple places so that I could be with her. She just let me, she didnt even resist. She knew that wherever I took her she would be safe. We slept side by side, we hung out outdoors and watched the world go by, she let me make her a flower crown and she posed so perfectly for the pictures we took. I will miss that cat forever

I wish to thank you for allowing us to experience what is the most difficult moment a pet owner will face. I know some pet owners who are afraid but this video dispels any scary aspects to euthanizing. This video will give pet parents the courage to be there for their furry loved ones as they transition over to Rainbow Bridge. We, pet parents, are our pets entire world and to comfort them with love during their last moments is the greatest gift. Both for them and ourselves. Love is a blessing and eternal.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost 1 of my Cats to cancer on July 13th 2020, and found out 5 weeks ago my other cat also has cancer now. I am totally devastated. I don't know how much longer I have with my furbaby, ut will treasure each and every single moment with him. I don't know how I'm going to handle it when the time comes. But I know when it does, it will be in his best interest. Its so heartbreaking. I'm dreading it. 💔😿😭

My cat was miserable with kidney failure. We tried to stimulate appetite for months when we should have let her be put to sleep. We have a very beautiful new tabby now, nowhere near as affectionate as our previous one. We should think that in their lives with loving humans these animals have been enriched and blessed for more than if they were feral. They are privileged, even at that point of being put to sleep after their wonderful lives.

RIP Stella. Your Mom really loved you and cared wonderfully for you. I lost to Babies to cancer that involved kidney failure. You did the right thing. Bless you, you will get through this and see her again one day.

It is never easy to put a cat to sleep that was part of your family. We had to put our cat Sammy to sleep a couple of years ago because he was not eating and was sleeping all the time. When we got him at a adoption place we were told he only had a few years left to live so we were prepared of his health and when he passed we were devastated but we knew he was in a better place than suffering and were put at ease. We miss you Sammy every day!!!!!❤❤❤

Thank you for such a touching film. We just had to say goodbye to our oldest yesterday at age 14. We knew it was the correct action to take. Our boy "Spooky had been suffering for some time. He was a wonderful cat. I had had him since he was 6 weeks old. He helped to raise our now Oldest cat in our multi-cat household. Bless their little souls! -- They never last long enough. What a beautiful tribute and memorial video you can cherish. I just went through the same heartache 3 weeks ago when my 17 year old kitty, Thor, suffered sudden and catastrophic kidney failure. I had him since he was just over 3 weeks old.

Making this type of decision for Stella was the ultimate act of love for her. Always remember that. I went thru the exact same scenario with my 19 year old shelter cat Hope. I had Laps of Love come to the house and the process was completed by the vet who really helped me literally survive the last few moments with Hope. Like Stella, Hope had an aggressive cancer and her vet recommended that we didn't attempt invasive surgery. Like Stella, I held onto Hope as long as I could. I'd like to think that maybe, right now, Stella & Hope are hanging out together in a world of no pain, only joy and happiness. RIP Stella. ❤

I am bawling watching this. I had to say goodbye to a 14-year-old Siamese three days before Christmas about 5 years ago. I had to have a pet emergency clinic do the final act of mercy, since my regular vet was closed (it was a weekend). The people at the emergency vet were very kind and did the best they could to comfort me. The one thing that I did pay for was a "private" cremation; Holly would be cremated by herself, so I only got her cremains back. The crematorium also did like they did to your cat, they put an impression of her paw into clay, but it was the local Oklahoma red clay instead of this white clay you got. The one thing I did after a while, was to ask her former "mama" if she'd like to have half of Holly's cremains, since she'd spent the first ten years of her life in her and hur husband's gracious home (her husband was my former employer). She said yes, so she came over to my house. I had a pair of lovely Cloisonne-glazed Chinese ginger jars that would accommodate both halves of the creamins, so we split up the cremains, and I sealed the lids of both jars with silicone adhesive. I still can't look at the things of Holly's where they sit on top of one of my stereo's speakers for too long, or I lose it.

She is with you always in spirit by your side. Our dear pets are not just a family member but a piece of our heart. That stays with us forever. We are all they got. I do believe God has a special place just for our pets. There must be because animals do have souls. They have feelings just like us but express those feelings in different ways we may or may not understand. You are both very strong people. All the love and compassion you gave her in her last days on earth to keep her as happy and comfortable, Stella knows it well and would be great full. She did take something of yours to the other world. That is your eternal love for her. ❤

Although I don't have a pet, I occasionally look after my mother's dog few times a year when she and her boyfriend go on trips. A little over three years ago, my mother's dog passed away at the age of thirteen. The loss occurred the day before my birthday, making it a day I'll never forget because of the special bond I shared with that dog. Ever since, around the time of my birthday, I feel an overwhelming sadness, as if I've been punched in the gut, because I miss that dog so much, even though it wasn't mine. My mom eventually got another dog of the same breed to keep her company. However, this new dog is entirely different from the one that passed away. I also look after this dog when she's traveling, and I treat it just the same. Although the new dog enjoys spending time with people, it has its limits. In contrast, the dog that passed away was extremely affectionate and would happily cuddle all day long.

Rip Stella what a beautiful cat. I had my lovely large ginger tom put to sleep in 2012 and I miss him every day as I do my black and white cat who died 20 yrs ago. Never easy to say goodbye but memories last for ever.

I found you because I just had to put my Cutie to sleep yesterday. It was the most painful decision I had to make ever, for the better of my beautiful 20-18-year-old cat. I wasn't sure of his age because I loved him so much that I didn't want to keep track of it. I know that our eternal babies don't live as song as we do, which is a blessing and curse, because we can most likely take care of them for the rest of their lives, and when the time comes, we can evate them of pain and suffering. It's been months for you and I wish that you had surpased the pain that I am going thru now. Your litlte Stella is beautiful! I hope my Cutie is in her company, as well as the company of all these beautiful creatures that served us and teach us what unconditional love truly is. Thank you for sharing your story.

I'm so sorry for your lose. Stella was a pretty, sweet, & gentle kitty. It's such a shame that she became so ill but, you did the right thing to keep her from suffering more. When I was 4 years old, our family got a grey & white Persian kitten with green eyes. She (Friskey) was a very pretty cat. Friskey was always a very sweet, gentle, loving cat. When I was 22 years old and Friskey was 18, I had to make the decision to put her down. She had just become very sick and had multiple problems due to old age and I just didn't want her to suffer anymore than she already had. It was a hard thing to have to do but it had to be done for my little Friskey. I took her home from the vet hospital and buried her under the Fig tree on the back hill. I have never forgotten about her. I still think about her all the time. It doesn't seem so long ago since she left us but, that was 43 years ago and I am now 65 years old and I still can tear up thinking about her. You won't forget Stella. Decades from now, you will still be thinking about her as if she just left a short time ago. In Stella's final days, She felt the love you guys had for her. Life is short and it goes by fast.

I had my senior cat put down around two years ago & I miss her so much. She was around 15 years old & got suddenly sick from an undiagnosed thyroid problem, it can on after she got attacked by a local Tom cat in a place we lived in. From that moment she did nothing but hide, she changed forever & I lost my darling Precious. She followed me everywhere when I was home but if she saw my stick come out she knew I was going out & she couldn't follow. She was so smart, the pain of losing her was so hard on me, especially at night as she always slept with me. In the last couple of days though she started to come back to her old self, but I knew she wasn't right as she was skin & bone, she was never big to start with. I think they do somehow understand & they are saying goodbye to you also. I also lost a cat my son saved from getting run over, she was totally deaf & partly blind. One day she got out & never came home. I looked for her for days, she finally dropped in on our neighbors.....literally. they were on their deck & she jump down off their roof, I had just gone past their place looking down because that's where the experts said she would be. I rushed her to the vet as I thought her jaw was broken, they kept her overnight on pain medication intending to operate the next day but they found her tongue was almost fully ripped out, we got told to get there ASAP as they were fighting to stabilize her. We were almost at the vets when they rung & said she had died. Some of the staff were crying as they fell in love with her, even with her pain etc, she was still walking around the vets & giving love to them, wanting cuddles, headbutting, all that stuff. She loved life & people. We got both cremated & they are both on my window ledge looking out.

We have to give them the best life we can and be there for the end. They are family.

I'm so sorry and sad for you and Stella I was hugging my 15 year old cat Smudgie through the entire video in tears for you both and myself too in a way in fear of losing my cat due to her age! She won't be the first I lose but its the longest I've had one live and be with me her entire life! Just remember it is only "til we meet again" and not goodbye because she will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge when its your time!

Stella was lucky she had a mum who loved her so much and took such great care of her. She was also lucky that you were alert to her suffering and made the right decision to humanely send her back to God. Never easy , always hard , but the kindest thing you ever did. She's now in kitty heaven forever. Cats have souls like any other creature, so you will meet again one day. I hope you get another kitty soon to love and care for. There are so many desperate animals searching for someone like you.

went throught the same thing with my baby boy of 10 years, 2/18/2024. sue to advanced kideny failure. he was getting worse and worse and wasnt eating anymore. was lethargic weak etc. he left peacefully. we also used lap of love. and the vet was very caring and compassionate. i know everyone says to us we did the right thing to end their pain but i will always take this guilt with me to my grave. i know time heals but this grief is real and hard. ive lost 4 pounds since he died and i am seeing a therapist which i have never done in my life. i wish you guys the best and sorry about your baby too.

Watching this brought back so many memories about my Stella, she had bladder cancer. She and I shared a lot of the same memories like you did. She has been gone since 10/3/2018. And I still grieve for her. I have a cat I adopted after Stella and I also have a 8 month old kitten.

We decided to have our cat put to sleep about 8 yrs ago. I held her till her last breath and beyond. I still cry when I think of her. She's not in pain anymore.
