Halfway into the video I realized that all of the waddle dees in the main hub area were turned into waddle doos. It just seemed so normal, and then I realized something was wrong, only when they started moving at 10x speed.

As a game developer, doing something like this is probably as simple as modifying the timeScale; a similar thing is done for a lot of pause menus, where it changes the timeScale to 0.

@@gunknightben1829 it was probably the game attempting to run things that rely on the timescale backwards, so backwards/glitched animations, backwards time progression, and broken movement acceleration.

Negative Speed is something I have never thought of for this… MORE TESTING MUST BE DONE THEN.

the negative speed part is interesting, i can see how it would break a bunch of stuff. for example: Games usually have something called "DeltaTime" which is how much time passes between each frame. This value is adjusted based on the fps of the game. This allows for things to not break if someone has a slower than normal computer. Lots of objects deal with gravity, and as such usually have something along the lines of: if(YMoveSpeed > 0){ YMoveSpeed = YMoveSpeed - GravityForce * DeltaTime; } else{ YMoveSpeed = 0 } or something like that. the above code would be used to constantly decrease the value of "YMoveSpeed" until it hits 0 or below, at which point it will set the value to equal zero. this effectively creates a lower limit for the value. Can you see how making DeltaTime into a negative would break some things now?
