As a person who used to hangout with people like this when I was younger and dumb, BE CAREFUL. When it came to using Skype, I had about three VPN's I would use in case one of my "buddies" decided to try and find where I lived and sent people or things to me. Even then, three VPN's rarely helped as my "buddies" would test their IP programs and other means of ill intent on me to see where they could improve on pinpointing people. I met a guy who went by the name of "V" that one of my 'friends' introduced me to, as I was coding my own IP finder/locator for Skype (because their software is faulty and doesn't mask anything hardly and I was interested in black hatting) he asked me if I wanted bank statements, credit card info, social security numbers, etc as he had just cracked into small bank that didn't have their shit together, evidently. I politely declined, and then he disappeared. I never heard anything from him again, all I know is that he was being chased down by the FBI and was highly notorious for being a black hat and also causing people to commit suicide and taking identities. You have no privacy on the internet. Trust me, and trust those who show you first hand. Like someone else suggested, get a RAT scanner and get rid of his shit. I doubt he encrypted it, but if it seems that when you run, lets say, Kaspersky and unexplained things are happening afterwards--- its best to take everything you need off this computer and get a new one (sadly) or try and find a repair place that specializes in breaking encryptions. Someone may have a better solution to that possible problem though if it occurs, so keep an eye out. Stay safe man. We appreciate your content; but it would be a travesty seeing some actual bad shit happened to you because of one of these videos.

TOR specifically tells in you in their user agreement that using services like MS sync, and Apple iCloud can leave you vulnerable. Hence why you use a tortoise VM with a linux distro for this kind of stuff. It's quite easy to link you to the iCloud service once they have your OS.

Kevin, you said you went on a Dark Web website where you could contact this guy? In your first video you said you found his page. If that's the case, I'm sure you got infected with a RAT (Remote Administration Tool) when you visited that site. Then on his machine, he had full access to your computer anyway. You can bind a RAT/Malware executable to an image and then just have it on your webpage. When a person visits the site, the picture comes up but it runs the RAT in the background. The RAT reports back to who owns it your real Ip address, so he can always connect to you even if you change locations/connections/ip's/ISP's etc. By the way, he will still have access to your computer. You should get a free trial of Kaspersky for Mac, install it, update it then disconnect from the internet and do a full scan. What he did wasn't anything technical, effective though. Kaspersky will pick it up for sure and get rid of it. Your welcome.

From what I know from a old friend (we haven't talked in a long time) doing what he did is easy if you know what you're doing. What you do to protect your computer protects you from some hackers, unless they truly want to get to you. If someone really wants to get to you vpns and tor can only do so much. leaving the chat after he shared your ip and not answering him when you know he can get in probably wasn't the smartest move on your part. I do not know anything about hacking so don't take this from me but some of the people I used to chat with could easily get past vpns to get a real ip address. Its something they would do to scare trolls away from chats. I never asked if they could do more than that cause I honestly didn't want to think about how much of my info they more than likely had.

Can you confirm that you did not open up one single file you received/downloaded from the dark web? He MUST have had access to your computer. The NSA can trace back some stuff on TOR because the own some of these nodes. But I don't think this hacker owns them. So you must have given him some kind of details. BTW, Stuff can't just execute it's self. Browsers can't access the file system. With today's security features built into the browser you actually do not need any anti-virus at all, if you know what you are doing. There were exploits in the past, but they are all fixed now. Every 'hack' will leak through if too many people are using it. Maybe you just met a guru that happens to know a unfixed exploit, but this is rather rare. For all stuff that I don't want others to know I have a USB persistent drive with linux on it. Whenever I need privacy, I plug it into whatever computer I am currently on, go to the bios, and boot into the persistent drive. If you never made any details available, there is also nothing to find for the hacker. One thing was really strange. Why did your IP address start with 1.? Doesn't it start with the ISP's code?
