The cheap blown up C6 Z06 is alive and she sounds absolutely insane! I finish the exhaust, engine assembly, and some various odds and ends before lighting this 427ci 7.0L bald eagle off. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

That 8mm socket was trying to disappear like they all do😆 congrats on your successful build. I don't know if you're formally trained for TIG welding, but stainless is unforgiving. Your welds are hot and the chromium has cooked out and it will rust in that area. I'd like to offer some tips for the next time you would be stainless. Measure the thickness of the material. For every thousands of an inch = 1 amp on the welder. Stainless can't get too hot, so you'll have to weld faster or increase your gas flow. Once you see the weld puddle, get moving! Overall good job bro, this is how men give birth! Enjoy that car💪🏆

I'm a recent subscriber, and growing fan of the work you do. I've built several cars over the years (I'm nearly 64), and finished the build of my 2010 C6 GS in January 2022, dyno'd at just over 500 rwhp (508/462). Nice manners, good street ride, nothing too rowdy. Question: I understand that your new LS7 bullet has a Cam motion custom stick, but can you please share the specs? Sorry if I missed the part where you already did - told us. I can't wait to see this on the dyno!! Merry Christmas to you & yours / and keep up the terrific DYI videos.

Exhaust fitment issues... brings back lots of bad memories. College student years and an amazing deal on a '97 SS Camaro T56 car. Badly warped shorty header flange so I buy new longtube headers. Straighten the oval'd collectors... not sure if shipping or poor quality control but could do that easily in the shop (FSAE team school). No room for the car so it goes to the mechanic. Many hours later ($$$ labor) and.. the headers don't fit. They're up-swept at the collector and hit the floor. Send them back, get another set from a different company and many hours ($$$) later, they are finally installed along with the x-pipe assembly, which needed modification ($$$) to work as well. Very expensive lesson in Murphy's Law and what it means to be a college student, working two jobs to pay for everything; don't take on extensive projects unless you can work on your own stuff somewhere. The frustration is real... I'm just happy I don't do this stuff for a living because it seems the "3 hour estimated project" stuff more often than not, turns into a fiasco for me... where I'm deep in it some 8+ hours later. I'd lose my ass.

Chris as an aircraft mechanic by training i am impressed with your desire for cleanliness. Clean up of the dry sump to the removal of the oil cooler and lines - just top notch. You could never successfully get that debris out of the cooler or the intake for that matter. By the way what sort of tool did you use to draw a vacuum on your coolant system? I have never seen anything like it. Your vids are a lot of fun to watch and I will be going back through some of your older work to check them out. Safe and healthy New Year to you and your family.
