Hello everyone and welcome! Today I am doing a bit of colouring in Meine Reise Durch Asien by Rita Berman, as I answer the questions for the Coloring Goals for 2024 hashtag.

This was another fun one! I love these tags. It's funny how similar our coloring journeys have been. We both started not very long ago and jumped in with both feet! 🤩 So cool to be experiencing all of this together!

It was so fun to hear how your first year of coloring went en what you are planning to do for the next year. Backgrounds is a struggle a lot of people have, myself included. I do a lot of the same stuff once I figured it out, lol! 😂

I always love your backgrounds! I am going to watch those videos you recommended and see if I can improve. I think part of the problem is that I’m impatient and want to finish the background so I can get to the ‘proper’ colouring 🤦‍♀️

Your dragon looks great. I've found a great trick a couple of days ago for the Inktense pencils. In a video (forgot who it was) she used a baby wipe and scribbled a bit on that with the inktense pencil. Than she went over the page (I think it was a journaling page, so very thin paper) to create a background. Personally I don't like to wet my pencils so I scribbled on my Caran d'Ache palette, went over it with the baby wipe and tried it on a test colouring page. Great effect and not streaky at all. Of course the paper will bubble a bit, but that can be fixed later. It also works great with Faber Castell Gelatos.

I totally meant to say on your last video , I’ve not had any joy with inktense on Rita Bermans paper , I don’t think it’s you at all ☀️x

Oh that’s so good to hear! Thank you - I’m also in definite need of practice with them but I have never tried them in Rita’s books before.

@@JordyColours I think they work well in Hannah Karlzon and paper with a bit more texture ( if that’s any help x) . I also do 2/3 layers ( I know time consuming 🙈) and you’ll get a much smoother look . I’m really enjoying your channel by the way , it’s lovely to see people’s journey and your videos are great ☀️.
