I was FINALLY able to bring y'all along with me into the salon!!
My mom is a hair stylist and has been doing my hair forever. She did it when I would only wear it straight and she's been helping me keep my curls healthy once I started to transition and wear it natural.
Base color: Redkin 7n (Your stylist will know what this is)
Highlights: Redkin Flashlift with PH Bonder + Toner
Cut: I don't get dry cuts. My mom cuts it while wet but she knows I have curly hair so she cuts it differently than if she were cutting straight hair. Make sure your stylist knows you have curly hair during your consultation.

Great video! Thanks so much for sharing this! I kind of have bigger chunks of blonde in my hair which I’m not a fan of. Love the layered cut! I never know what the terminology is when asking for what I want so this really helps. Thanks!!

Love your channel! Your hair seems similar to mine. I'm have 2B,2C, with some 3A curls. I can get my hair to look nice after styling but by the end of the day I've got a frizzy, stretched out mop of hair. Any ideas on keeping curl pattern and definition? I feel like I've tried every product and can't find something to keep the hair in shape

I was glad I was finally able to get it cut! It’s a pretty simple cut but I think that’s why it blends so easily 😊

Beautiful hair. Can you please explain the difference between a rounded cut and face framing layers?

Yeah! So the rounded cut is more about the layers through out all of my hair. Face framing is focusing only on the pieces around your face. But I get both! I’ve had a rounded cut with layers with out face framing pieces & it just didn’t look as good on me personally

We have almost the same hair😂 My hair is thicker and some sections of my hair curl harder then others:/. In desperate need of a haircut, it’s been 2 years almost😅 But even now i don’t have thin ends, no split nothing because i don’t dye my hair anymore 100% own color with natural highlights which i didn’t even know i had😂 Also scrunchies, bonnet, Satin pillowcase and washing 1 time a week helps a lot.

I find it interesting that you leave the salon without it styled & still wet. I have the same type of hair (just shorter) and every time I get it colored (covering gray's), I stay for the styling. I will no longer after seeing this video! I get why you let your hair rest after the appointment. It is a lot for curly hair. Thank you for sharing. :)

Of course! a blow out or style every now and then isnt that bad but I definitely like to give it rest after coloring! :)

Is it true that after a bleach to your hair you should do a protein mask? After your appt when if the first time you rinse your hair to remove any extra color or dye?

Yes you should def use a protein treatment after bleach😊 I wait 2-3 days to wash my hair after getting it colored

Hi! So when I wrap the rubber band around my bun the ends get pinched and bent by the rubber band and this causes breakage and split ends! I’ll show an example soon!

Only if it’s really tight & you wear it all the time! It can bend and damage your ends😬 lol that’s my go to hair style when I don’t feel like doing anything with it but I should have been wearing it not as tight or using an invisibobble instead of a rubber band!
