My Dad is having buyers remorse after buying his wrecked 2023 Duramax denali at the copart auction.. In this episode we get all the parts to fix his new GMC but didn't realize what it was actually going to take to fix all the damage. My Dad's exact words were "I will never do this again".
HOW LONG DO YOU THINK IT WILL TAKE TO FIX THIS TRUCK??

I just went through this same thing with a Ford. Changed the bed, the cab, took it down to the bare frame and put it back together again. I did the same thing with labeling everything. Since it was only me as my friends and family thought I was a lunatic, it took me 8 months to do it. The satisfaction of starting it up again afterwards is unreal though!

Just look at the special bonding time you spent with your father. If I were you and done something like this with my dad, I would NOT ever get rid of it but, keep it forever. Down the road when your father is no longer around and you are feeling the heartache, I guarantee that every time you look at this truck, it will bring back a smile to your face when you remember this project and the good, bad and the funny moments. You cannot put a price tag on the sentimental times!

I’m with your dad in the fact that it’s a TON of work and at my age wouldn’t do it. My biggest issue with the entire truck is the fact that it has a salvage/rebuilt title. It seriously hurts it’s value but if you plan to never sell the truck and keep it in the family it’s a non issue. Seriously proud and happy for both of you guys! Awesome father and son team work! You’re never going to forget this Brad! Keep the truck!!!

I build vehicles for a living at an auto factory. Yes, the guys at the factory COULD have done that swap in half the time. However, they are working on one or two vehicles at most for almost 4 years straight. They know those vehicles inside and out, and have all the tools set to proper torque specs ahead of time. Parts are right there when they need them. So the fact that you and your dad did a complete frame swap in under 24 hours by yourselves in your shop is a feat. You guys probably save 20 grand just by doing two days worth of work. This was a job and a half, and you guys crushed it. Great job!

I must say if This is your worst decision ever you’ve lived a very easy comfortable life. Imagine your entire life working for a company that goes belly up and you can’t find a job in todays times you don’t know how to feed your family who just lost their home in a flood hurricane you don’t have flood coverage because your not in a 500 year flood plain then at 38 you start developing massive seizures ones so severe you don’t know your 6 year old kids name for 18 hours.

He did an awesome job putting that truck back together. Brand new GMC. I wish I had the talent as you and your father have to put that truck back together. Once again, thank you very much for the opportunity to see this video and I hope to see many more

It looks like the driver was reversing at high speed and attempting a 180 (like Needles in back to the future 2) but slapped the kurb during the stunt. You two are incredibly talented though and achieved greatness. Brilliant video, great job, the truck is beautiful.
