$62K in a brand Denali diesel is an amazing deal. Bet all the naysayers would love to be in that truck for the same amount. Rebuilt title does affect the value but who cares if it's a truck you plan on keeping on top of doing all of the work yourself and knowing that it was done correctly. Killer deal man, I'm jealous!

You two did a good job on fixing that truck. Honestly most people if they dropped that much money on a truck then had to change the frame of the truck and everything else they would of had a rollercoaster of emotions themselves. It makes you feel like you purchased a brand new lemon that you are constantly repairing.

To all the haters you all probably don't have the skills to do a full frame off swap! These guys have the facility and skills to do this work and to save almost 30K on a truck is awesome. Who cares if it's a savage title or not! They have a great truck that will last years and didn't dump retail into it! hats of to you guys for pulling together and doing it the right way by getting a new frame!! I wish i had the shop / tools and OCD skills to label and bag everything for such an undertaking! Now just pull that radiator and temp fix the crack by welding if you can so you can still use it while you wait on the backorder! Love the content guys! First of all, congratulations on your successful rebuild. You guys have brass ones, because buying a wrecked $50,000 vehicle, physically sight unseen scared me for you. But the info you were working with and time restraints given you, you did the best judgement call you could. You clearly had experience with the 2021 build and had the confidence to do it. But clearly it was a worse case scenario and bravo to you both for following thru and sharing your experience with us. I found it nerve racking for your health and well being but seeing your satisfaction in the end was uplifting. Made me a Dan of your channel. Keep up the great videos and keep the reins on your very exuberant father, lol.

I wish I had the money to start out with newer vehicles like this. I just totally took apart a truck, rebuilt it, replacing the roof, windshield, various body panels, lots of welding and making rockers, patching rust holes in the frame, making & welding on new metal where I had to cut out rust because I wanted a 4 door 4x4. But I had to start out with a 2005 truck with 255k miles on it. Painted it all over & put it all back together and now I'm driving it. It looks nice now but it's still an old truck with a lot of miles on it. This kind of thing that you guys are doing would be really cool. No breaking bolts because they're rusted. No replacing rusted metal with new metal, although I love welding & making shit.

Did you ever think about a radiator shop that makes proformance radiators for your truck. Some of the aluminum radiators are better then the stock one and if your going to spend money on a raditor anyways what a few more hundred to get something way better. Also when approaching the shop ask about a discount form them being featured on the stream so the money they lose on the discount will massively be offset by the video being seen ten of thousands of time as the channel grows.

Every time my 2019 L5P has the coolant system open, I’ve had to add coolant 4-5 times until it’s good. Coolant tank replaced under warranty, block heater replaced 2X under warranty, and hit a deer. Every time had to “burp” system by driving and filling. Dealership has no idea how to do the GM TSB on vacuum filling the coolant. System when opened, easily gets pockets of air in it…
@jonathonsantamont8527
@jonathonsantamont8527 Жыл бұрын
Coolant tank was bad reservoir sensor, and sensor is built into tank. The block heaters were bad from factory, then GM installed ones that still had issues, and now a final fix…

My mom & dad had bought a suburban years ago & it had a crack in the radiator. For a cheap fix, you can put black pepper in the radiator for a temp fix. Somehow, the black pepper will seal the crack for a while. It's a temp fix for the time being if you can't find a radiator available for purchase for 6 to 8 months. It's worth a try if you just want to take it out for a drive.

I personally would rather pay 90k and have a true brand new truck with full factory warranty and the piece of mind that if anything goes south I can have it fixed under warranty. Also when it’s time to sell having a salvaged title will definitely lower the re sale value by around 20%. I really enjoyed the videos on this build and I hope this truck works out good for you guys. The father son time is priceless

It’s totally worth it if you’re doing it to keep it. You have a brand new truck for 30k+ less than it would’ve been to buy it off the lot. If you were doing it to flip it, who knows. What it’s worth on the market with a salvage title is a crapshoot. I wish I had the skill, knowledge and tools to buy a salvage truck and repair it like y’all did. Good job guys!

Man your dad and mine write EXACTLY the same lol I think it’s just how they learned (roughly the same age/ learning era) I lost my dad in 2017, so it was super great to spot “his” writing from your dad! That’s awesome man.

In the end I’d say $40k… $40k in my pocket is better than in anyone else’s pocket!!! Take $40k in cash and put it on the table, visualizing $40k and physical $40k is a WHOLE different story…. Excellent job father and son!!! 🙏
