My family gave me my glasses two years ago. I'm 60 years old color blind, although it was nice to see colors it was extremely overwhelming. I took them off and have never put them back on again. I'm happy with my world as it is.

Contact lenses and glasses are available with filters to help color deficiencies, if needed. If he has a red colour blindness I'm vry sorry to say this but there might be a high possibility that he still won't see it the glasses don't cure colour blindness it only helps in improving it depending on the severity he might or might not be able to see some colours nevertheless let's all be happy for him since he can now atleast see a majority of all the colours
