After 5 years, my Dads RARE and Fiat Strada Abarth is now on the road and in a roadworthy condition although there are a few finishing touches needed!
This car came into my Dads ownership in a poor and very rusty state and alot of fabrication work was needed!

"Most of the car is blue" - apart from the doors, the roof, the rear three quarters, the bumpers. They were great cars. Snarling twin cam engine and even 130 BHP felt a lot in a relatively light car, although that one probably is more powerful. It was a genuine old-time Italian hot hatch, and is like your bonkers uncle who runs amok every Christmas. Mind you, as a competition model, it is both more powerful and lighter than standard. It will totally bonkers when finished.

Omg, my dad had a Strada 85 Super which I loved as a kid... I've always wanted one since they are so rare now. Abarth 130TC is like a dream car for me... possibly unattainable now :(

That's a rare one haven't seen a strada for many years like you dad said they rot like any 80s car good to see one of he's many projects on the road but needs a little fiddling I do like the different colour panels fair play to you dad

Thanks Peter, yeah this one was very rusty too and a lot of rust work has happened as my Dad says, at least this one is now a survivor and it’s nearly finished…

These cars are awesome. My friend's one was metallic grey in colour. Really fast car; I think it has a twin cam, too. 🚗💨

Looks can be deceiving, a very well sorted car underneath 😎 great work by your dad! 💪 these were rare cars up here when i was growing up in the 90s, haven't seen one in the wild since then 😁👍

In the states, there are specialty plates that....let's say....allow you to drive vehicles that don't meet say, MOT or its equivalent here's standards for road worthiness. You can purchase Historical or Collectable and some such plates to allow to go about your business with an unsafe or modified vehicle. Shit, you can rent a gigantic U-Haul having no CDL (Commercial Drivers License) and wreck through parked cars....all you need is your drivers license and to pay for U-Haul's insurance..
