@bellaflor8528. I'm 67 years old and this flashes me back to the funeral of Aristotle Onassis in 1975 when Jackie Onassis smiled and giggled throughout almost his entire ceremony! I think Jackie probably wanted everyone to know that JFK was her real love but it only conveys someone who was thoughtless and ungrateful - all that giggling was very harsh!! Onassis' daughter, Christina was badly hurt by Jackie and I could see why! When Jackie returned to the USA she issued a press release stating something about how grateful she was to have Onassis in her life. Hmmm. Then why didn't Jackie show it? She wasn't there for him for hospital visits except for maybe once or twice and for her last visit Onassis supposedly, told Jackie what he thought of her and their marriage and their relationship in general. Good for Mr. Onassis!! As for Raine Spencer... well I honestly can't figure this one out. Maybe she was just nervous with the cameras around? Also I think Diana and her sisters and her brother were at odds with Raine for decades. Diana and Raine were very controlling women by nature so they fought fiercely. Earl Spencer was probably in the middle of their fights. I'm guessing that Johnny Spencer never handled personal problems too well - he may have been somewhat of an "emotional cripple."

Raine does not look happy. Yes, she has a silly sort of grin. It us what you call a "grimace" and is an expression of intense emotion, and possibly fear. You dont see the expression very often so most people do not recognise it when they see it However, older people will recall in the days when boys were sebt to be caned bybthe headmaster, a typical comment would be "How dare you stand there grinning! Think you're smart do you? Hold out your hand!" THAT is the expression. Poor Raine. She was the one who was with him to the end. And here, noone in the family holds out a habd to her, or comforts her, except Charles. She is in a very lonely position. Subsequently, Diana had all her possessions put into garbage bags and put OUTSIDE the huge house for her to have them picked up.

I'm not surprised - after her divorce Diana threw all of Charles's good chinaware in trash bags and took a hammer to the bags and supposedly said to her friend "Paul let's go through all of Charles's money!" It also appears that he was more interested in marrying his immature, mentally unstable daughter into the Royal Family than he was in getting her the help she needed to be able to live a satisfying and useful life.

He was a domestic abuser which was enabled by the aristocracy and the government.

Two major things that are enormously disturbing are that Francis ( Diana's biological mother ) was that this poor woman couldn't and shouldn't have to take the heavy abuse from John Spencer so of course she left! However in doing this life changing event for all four children she was never forgiven because Francis LEFT the four of them with a crazy and cold father! 🤢🤢. The second thing is that other adults didn't help much or adults say stupid things such as, "Oh children are very resilient so they bounce back". Think of the insensitivity and heartlessness of that reasoning!! Most children do NOT BOUNCE BACK! They usually become depressed and hurt and angry and jealous throughout their lives - and understandably so and the good but cowardly parent who leaves is viewed as immature and unreliable. Francis went on to remarry but the second marriage didn't work out for her. Francis could never get the time or the respect back from her children or forgiveness. Walking away from innocent children when you know what is happening must have been brutal for the whole Spencer family. It wasn't easy to walk away but it wasn't easy to remain with Johnny Spencer either. Hmmm. Sad. Very sad... Diana's grandmother Lady Fermoy had to testify against her own daughter Francis in court and said Francis was unfit and she was seeing some one. The judge awarded John Spencer full custody but he didn't want them so he shipped them off to boarding schools!! And yet lady Fermoy pushed to put Diana in the royal family even though Lady Fermoy knew Diana was unfit for the position of princess of Wales. As the queen mum was dying lady Fermoy apologized for pushing Diana into the royal family when she secretly knew all along that Diana was emotionally unstable and treacherous. I wonder what the queen mum felt about her good friend lady Fermoy then?

As an artist, who studies people's facial expressions, I can tell you that Raine foes not look happy. She is extremely stressed and has good reason to be. 1. She is stressed because she has list her husband. 2. She has to hold it together and greet a number of the nobility, and probably some people who she does not know, but who are high status. Including the Prince of Wales. 3. Spencer's four children are there, and they are not exactly nice to her. 4. Diana has previously physically assaulted her at a family wediing. 5. Because Diana is there, so are the paparazzi. 6. She is about to get kicked out of her home. I do not know what provision the Earl had made for her, after his death. So altogether, she has reason to be stressed. When a person is trying to hold it all together, it causes them to get a stupid grin (called a "grimace"). Luvkily this is not an expression that we see very often .... but it is the way a brave oerson looks when they face a firing squad. In the old days, when schoolboys used to be caned, the Headmaster would say, "Stanford, get that stupid grin off your face and hold your hand out!" and poor Stanford would get six of the best.

He and Diana sent her packing immediately. Raine was permitted to take things out of the house only if she could provide proof of purchase. Diana (probably wrongly) had Raine's things taken out of a couple of Louis Vuitton trunks with an "S" monogram, then packed into black garbage bags, which her brother kicked down the stairs. They were so ungracious.
