This is cool, practical and looks so sturdy. They are selling non electric manual washers, but they are all flimsy plastic and look like they wouldn't survive a year, plus they appear to be for small lightweight loads. What some commenters are not understanding (or don't want to), is that this is a way of life for some people. Anyway, thanks folks I appreciate the demo.

I enjoy taking care of all the housework while my husband works to put food on the table. Apparently a lot of women don't feel the same way judging by the comments. I have been doing this for almost ten years now and it is not getting old by any means. If someone enjoys taking care of their family in more traditional roles and everyone is happy why judge that?

Yes! I am the same way... My hubby works hard and makes good money, but I like doing things the old way.. I want of these washers!! Most women are too spoiled and would not even know what hard work was but those of us who do, do it because we have that natural passion down deep inside to for our home and family the old fashion way... Nothing wrong with it!!

I was looking at the store bought one of these, and OH MY GOODNESS THE PRICE! Plus, the tub looks way too small and even for me at 4'11" way too short. If I'm going to spend that much, I don't want to have to do anything to it to make it taller. My husband can build anything he sets his mind to, and he welds, so I'm having a little conversation with him tonight when he asks me AGAIN what I want for Christmas. This is definitely the way to go if you have the means to build it. Thank you so much for this video. God bless you and yours.

SUGGESTION: perhaps a cut 55gal plastic barrel as a solid, rot proof body. edit: the bung can be left in as a drain
@boedayious499311 ай бұрын
Yes. Also a 55 gallon plastic drum has threaded holes for a drain. If I made one It would be a 30 gallon or 55 gallon drum. Or the type where a 30 gal drum rotates inside a 55 gal drum. With that type you get a spin cycle. BUT !!! Simplicity lasts and works better usually. I will pray and start drinking heavily.

Some of these commenting below , don't seem to understand the concept of hard work, and that the scripture tells us that work has its reward. The more labor I do, the more rewarding it feels. I'm not afraid to work. Me and the Lord have the best conversations when i'm working. It seems the younger generations are spoiled sissies.

No need for electricity and very efficient way to wash a clothes. My only remark would be on a disposal of dirty water. Simply tossing it in your garden or lawn is not a best solution. Maybe storing the dirty water in some kimd of container and driving it to nearby town to dispose. Or using enviromentally friendly soaps or dergents in the first place!? But, thank you for a great idea. I might us it on my own.
@joan-lisa-smith Жыл бұрын
Guess where towns dispose of it? They dump it in a field because the best filter is the ground...hence why the women in this just dump it. Same as when they drain the tanks in camper trailers. You can have a drain plug you pull and have it empty in a pit filled will different sized gravel that helps filter out floating bits if you like...but it still all goes into the ground.
