Salut! In this video I'll be talking about my personal experience with dating here in Abidjan. I understand that it is different for everyone😁 but i do hope that you might to relate to something here.
I could also say that the stereotypes on Ivorian men and women can play a huge role in dating. It can make you think twice about things but then again people are different.

:) I love how you say "don't come at me" ... Keep making more videos.. It's refreshing.. Wish you could upload them daily. "chouchou" is a deformation of "cherie" .. 'ma cherie', 'ma chouchou', it's the same.

Lol it exists, it used to be weird in the beginning because there were so many Lebanese guys on it and also the dudes there were mostly living outside of CI so i don't get why they linked their profile to Abidjan. When they added FB loggin to it i noticed most dudes were linked as friends on FB so i that was a no for me.😂

Hey Tracey, is the Facebook group only for people currently living in Cote d'ivoire? I am not living in cote d'ivoire, I live in germany but I want to travel to abidjan soon and would love to do an internship for my bachelor in abidjan for about 5 months (if that works out)

(After watching the video) That was funny, I didn't even know people used tinder overthere I assumed it was gonna be another app. Abidjan is really petit Tracy. specially if your name is Tracy and you Kenyan I don't think we have a lot of Kenyan Tracy there lol. I think my advice will be to have circle of friends from work, gym or any activities you do and try to explore the cities with them and then meet more people. you could find a soulmate. About the muslim guy do not really worry about it some are pretty fine and you can date them and their family just have to deal with it of yall really like each other. good luck. waiting for the next video

Trace, I'm a big fan of yours and of your channel, just for the fact that you're from Kenya. I'd love to help you get a good guy in Abidjan. So, what type of Ivorian Guy, generally speaking, would you like to date? And, what parts of Abidjan and Iv Coast would you like to hang out with a guy? In general, I'd simply advice you to avoid guys from and in very populated places in Abidjan, like in some parts of Yopougon, Abobo and Adjamé.

hahaha very cute video. I did have a couple questions do you find people from other parts of Africa in the city you are in? And I had a question about interracial dating I have come to realize that Africans on the continent maybe don't look at white people the way we do in the states so maybe these types of relationships don't have the emotional baggage that comes with them when people see them. And I did want to know how the religion played into dating do people usually stick with with his or her religion? And do you have people from other parts of Europe except France living in the city?
@LaGoKenyane
@LaGoKenyane 5 жыл бұрын
Hi, so about interacial dating. In Africa we see it as an upgrade but if you are woke (like me) i don't give white people too much credit. I jus4 think we should date them out of love the same way we would other races. In Abidjan i know other Africans thanks to our group called 'Anglophones in Abidjan'. We have meet ups occassionally. About religion, in my unedited video i talk more about it but deleted some things out of fear that people will take it the wrong way. My experience with religion here is that you have to ask if someone is christian or muslim. In Nairobi it's rare to marry a muslim but here it's very normal and i have met people who have married and it's working out for them just fine. Usually it's the christian that has to convert

@@LaGoKenyane unfortunately, thats the world we live in these days. People are overly sensitive to the smallest thing. The experiences that you had are the same ones i had when i first moved to the U.S. It was confusing and i was completely out of my element. The language was by far the biggest challenge because you cant really translate french to english or vice versa word for word, otherwise the message gets lost in translation. I live in IC for 20 years, and though I grew up there, there are places I wouldnt venture to go, and i love my country to death. The dating experience you had in IC is not any different that here in the states. Same issues with online dating...le.monde est petit oh...tout le monde se connait hahaha

Tracii here We are speaking French even though You come accross some speaking English. You Anglophone think that With English you can go everywhere (I am not blaming you please) .No it is a big mistake .How comes that you still not be able to speak french approximately fluently?
@LaGoKenyane
@LaGoKenyane 5 жыл бұрын
Once again you are missing my point. I was talking about when i came here. So this my past experience. Right now I'm not even single, I speak French everyday at work. You need to understand that i was speaking in past tense. And yes, with English you can go anywhere which is why we don't feel the need to learn French because frankly we don't need it as much as you guys need English🤷‍♀️
@martialdominique4589
@martialdominique4589 5 жыл бұрын
Once again also you say that I misunderstood your point which is not true because even though You talked using past tense ,the past can be last month or even yesterday so next time mention the year..Any way. Concerning francophone s willingness to speak English, the reason is a matter of culture and education .We as francophones we have been trained since our childhood to speak more languages which is not the case with you...We think that knowing the language of others make you more knowledgeable and you are not limited. Here We don't only learn English .You can come accross people who speak Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, German...Me for instance Besides english I have learnt german at German cultural center (I speak German much more better than you speak French 😁😁😁😁 ) Is German famous ?No ..I know you anglophone you too proud of english to the instant that you are ignorant of the other part of the world .

@@martialdominique4589 you are a top idiot. First of all, learn how to properly speak and write english before you decide that you want to attack someone. She has made the effort to learn and how do you know that she only speaks english? There are dialects in kenya as well just like we have in IC. More better is not proper english. So quit being negative, and if you dont like her channel, get the fuck out. Plain and simple. She is merely sharing her experience in our country and not everyone has the same experience. Now if that was too much for you, i can switch to french, you simple imbecile.

I am Ivorian so know my country much more than her.Do you believe that here in Abidjan Every people know one another ?This is not true, how comes that a city with a population of almost 6 millions inhabitants me as ivoirien I can know even 10 % to not say 100% of them?This what tracii stated. ..m
@kazaam25
@kazaam25 5 жыл бұрын
@@martialdominique4589 you once again proved my point. Let's not even compare our level of english. You are obviously very deficient, but that is not the issue here. What she has spoken about is based on her experiences, not based on yours or mine. Therefore, it seems to her that, because she can easily be singled out, most guys she went on a date with knew each other. And that is easier these days because of social media than it was back in the days. Of course it is impossible to know EVERY single person in a neighborhood, let alone in the whole country. I, too, is from IC just like you. Now if you dont get the point i am making or the one she made, let me know, and i will speak in french for you...or in agni or bété or dioula if you prefer. Have yourself a good evening.
