This video is what I've been looking for..I'm planning on becoming a first year teacher this school year and all of the interviews I've gone on ask: "Tell me about a lesson plan you enjoyed doing" (even if you've never taught, they ask this) And at least you've sparked some ideas which I plan to research further and come up with full lesson plans..so Thank you, thank You, thank you

This is perfect 👌 and what I was So looking for. So refreshing to see that you are not a mega “ Franken- planner” like 😫🤭 some of the people in these videos. It is insane how they use their books to fill it full with stickers and such. They never mention how they wrote notes or lesson plans which is ridiculous since the majority are teachers. Although this makes the book pretty, these people go into overdrive, dedicating hours just using tape, stickers, sticky notes etc. It is next level creepy! I LOVE 💕 LOVE ❤️ LOVE 💗 YOUR NOTES. This is what a planner is used for, lesson planning and writing ✍️ notes not taping and pasting stickers. Their videos have left me traumatized and made me almost cancel my order but my faith has been restored. This video has not only restored my faith but has helped me tremendously! Thank you 🙏 😋

I love the idea of comparing easier leveled article and more advanced versions of the same article. I did something similar to this with my sons using RAZ Kids, having them read easier leveled versions of stories, then increase in difficulty. (Some of the stories there are offered in 3 different versions of increasing complexity.)

This might sound like a dumb question, but I'm thinking of going into teaching and am trying to learn all I can! What is the difference between 'curriculum' (i.e. what the school/district/state requires you to teach) and a teacher's own personal 'lesson plans?' How much work does the school/district/state requirements lay down for you specifically and where does that end? (i.e. where does your work begin) Thank you so much!

You mentioned that you posted grammar games on Google classroom for your Read 180 class. Do you have links? I've been hoping to find something fun online that would reinforce grammar skills. Also, for the biography project where the kids wrote diary entries and interviewed each other, was there a video on those lessons? Or maybe I saw it on Snapchat? Was this project also from TPT? Thanks so much for this video! I loved this walkthrough! I have so many great resources to try now!

I have question with lesson planning that may seem basic or naive. So, I love your weekly layout, which is like the old school way of doing it. But do you ever do like a full lesson plan layout like a UBD layout listening out the standards, objective, and all that those other details? I feel like idk what to do in terms of which lesson format really suffices. Would love to know your thoughts.

Ok. I'm a bit later but I'm hoping you can still help me. I just recently started homeschooling my son (6th grade)and I noticed that the way the schools taught was pretty ineffective. Any good resources for more practical ways of writing? Also I heard you talk briefly about Newsela and the multi leveled articles for the students to see the different ways one can write. Are there are other resources or ways that you know of to aid in the process of them transitioning their writing? My son's 12 and very much still a little kid so I'm hoping this can also help him to become more expressive. Also he's currently reading Bud not Buddy and I'd love to hear how Steve Jobs speech was used in reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
