It’s more of the concept of marriage. For many men especially now marriage represents getting controlled, limited freedom and biased treatment. Jimmy wants to be free and answer to no one, marriage is a threat to his way of living. It’s understandable but he got luckily. Nowadays marriage is both a castration and death sentence for a man in the US, especially in California

The desperate dude that are scared they won’t be able to find another will fall into marriage easier. But for the guys that actually have success with the ladies often - She has to be exceptional and even then she won’t win the guy over immediately. The truth is most women aren’t solid like this nowadays which is why guys don’t want to marry any of them now lol

Paco was played as abraham, selenas dad the younger Jose was played as A.B., selenas brother Jlo which is jose's wife when she was younger was also played as selena chucho was also abraham but when he was younger with los dinos i bet 1 of the actors of this movie but not selena were also played in la bamba movie
