@sodasaintcommentaries4054 But what made the scene such a great character study is that EVERYONE knows that admitting he ordered the code red would sink Jessup...... EXCEPT JESSUP. After the fact, he can't believe he's being charged with a crime. He gave an order, and that's the end of it. Everything else, the cover-up, the trial is all BS to him. Kaffee cottoned onto this and was able to put Jessup in a place where he just wants to say and do what he wants, by ordering him to sit down, by treating him with no redirect, by making him feel stupid by repeating previous testimony, like a child. By then, Jessup's had enough of the crap. He just wants to say what happened and go back to being the boss. Brilliant.

Great cast and so amazing to learn that Wolfgang Bodison (Harold Dawson) wasn't a trained actor before this film. The *ONLY* thing that ever confused me about the ending is that Harold told Kaffee earlier that he was willing to accept the outcome regardless (very adamantly, mind you) but then seemed distraught at the outcome when it happened🤔🤔

I find it reasonable. If Harold was so convinced in his own mind of the outcome that any other possibility was irrelevant, it was an easy thing to say. It's a very human reaction.
