Most alcoholics have a higher I.Q. The smartest a person are more sadness. Living knowing you have a end and nobody knows what happens cause depression an álcohol and drugs abuse. I feel the same. In the last episode we see him fixing a coding problem on a computer, and I hoped that the show would end with him saying he wants to go back to school, or something - but no, nothing.

Unfortunately it's reality. There are truly brilliant people working on factory floors, serving you burgers, etc. They were never given a real chance. They were raised in horrible situations, went to underfunded and overcrowded schools. They're worn out. They were never taught that dreaming is good and definitely never taught how to pursue them. They're making the best of their situation.

I do not think it was abandoned, every child from that household had some sort of genetic issues related to their parents which somehow messed them up. Something that Lip always had was a sweet spot for kids so failing some parts of his life as such University made him a more mature of a person and made him realise alcohol is an actual issue for him. Ofc I would have loved if there was bit more of his screen time but in the end the show was about the family overall state and bad choices in life. I think was fair, definitely if they did something like young Sheldon but about the future journey of Lip as a father fans will definetly support it as Lip and Carl had the most interesting stories out of all in my opinion.

I figured out yesterday, while riding a fourwheeler around hunting hogs, why it is I drink..... Because my inner monologue won't shut up!!! I go from hearing my own voice to hearing music to thinking about wild things/random shit, to thinking about my job, to my living situation, my future plans, all within the span of 5 minutes. It's even going right now after a few drinks. But when I get drunk that voice slows down, isn't as active, isn't as random, and the dreamless sleep at night I get is sort of peaceful for me. I know I need to stop but it's hard, especially with withdrawals and sleepless nights...

Mandy was crazy as fuck, but she uplifted Lip. He didn’t even want to go to college. She applied for him and forced him to go. While Karen laughed at the idea. Karen is his Monica.

The thing is Monica is what made frank go down that path (granted yes he is the one who agreed to do the drugs in the first place) but Monica fucked frank up emotionally. I didn't even realize until just now, that my ex girlfriend is like my Monica. Before we were dating, I wasn't doing much with my life, like Frank being in college when he met Monica, but I was still a lot more confident, a lot more active, and had a lot more self pride. Once I met my ex, she turned me onto taking pain pills recreationally, and it was down hill from there. Now, even though I've been clean off the pills for 6 years, the damage has yet to be repaired. It's like bulldozing a skyscraper, and one person has to rebuild it by hand. I'm totally screwed up in the head, am battling severe depression, and anxiety, and barely have a pot to piss in.

Frank could’ve been a college lecturer/educator, maybe even an administrator at a university. But it is what it is.

Lip has a tendency for going after rather strange women, but its the ones he falls hard for, people like Karen and the Professor, that dont love him like how he wants them to that makes them very toxic for him. that’s Lip’s weakness, falling for the wrong woman. Mandy was crazy, yes, but all in all, she was great for Lip if he could’ve seen that. she would’ve stayed a great girlfriend for him if he hadn’t cheated on her with Karen. hopefully youre done with the series already, if not skip this part: skip it if youre not done! when Lip ends up with that diner chick with the kid, he also falls too hard to fast and that’s because he likes women that are hard to get, the ones that avoid him. Karen often got with other guys because they were never exclusive and he didnt like, he didnt say anything, but he didnt like it. the Professor, well you can see how that was a bad idea. the mom at the diner, she was in no place to start something serious and had a son to think about. then the biker chick he got with at work left him bleeding and with scratches after sex. then he finally got with Tami, and they had a kid, she was the only good balance of his past relationships. where he didnt do that much chasing and she didnt do that much avoiding. they were stuck together bc of the baby and it kind of evened things out and let them fall for each other slowly and securely. and out of all of them, i enjoyed Mandy the most, but with her gone, Tami’s the next best thing, Lip ended up with a good one. end of.

At that point in the story though he still would have screwed it up he still needed to figure out his problems and get sober

Fiona never had the chance to develop book smarts. She was too busy raising her siblings. She talks about being 6 years old and taking care of tiny Lip and Ian. School was never allowed to be her priority. By the time she was studying for the GED, it had been so long since she was a student. All of the Gallagher kids are smart, the just don't always choose to, (or get the chance to,) develop it.

Fiona definitely has Franks intelligence!! She wasn’t book smart but she definitely had Franks street smarts . Carl wasn’t exactly book smart either but he had a talent for military tactical training like Ian.
