Made in April of 1956, this Remington 550 is still in wonderful condition ready to provide many more years of enjoyment.

Thanks for sharing your story. I inherited a Remington 550-1 from my father-in-law. Don't think he every cleaned it. No rust, cleaned up nice. Decent shooter. Love these old 22 rifles.

I really enjoy the old .22s also and have been hearing a lot of that from people. Maybe I'll do some more videos on some others as well. This one is definitely special to me. Thanks for watching and take care.

The deflector plate makes this look like it’s from the American Revolution. This is also my first gun. I love it.

I really want to put the emphasis on those early semi auto 22 rifles. They are so unique, and a real part of american history. In europe we didn't had so many people owning 22 rifles, and that really makes this rifle a part of american history in itself !
