This is a 10 round magazine only.
Finally finished the BM59-E 'build'. Sucks I have to give it back.
Sarco 'E' parts kit and new Gen. 2 receiver from James River Armory.
Love this thing.

Nice build, and we enjoyed the review. In response to you noting a 'bump' in the bolt channel in the receiver at c. 6:40, we provided a barreled and headspaced receiver, not a full build, during which we would have caught that issue, and rectified it prior to shipping. Nothing done here on purpose (c. 7:50), but it was likely the result of a prematurely worn cutting tool, all of which have a specific number of cycles they are used for prior to replacement. Fortunately, an easy fix, and again, thanks for including us in the review.

Thank you for the response. I hope I clarified this was our build and NOT yours. I will make sure to mention that on the follow up I'm doing soon. Overall, I really like what you've done with these and we're glad to have them on the market. Thank you for taking the time to answer questions, share information and respond to your customers. It says a lot about your business. First time customer and definitely not the last. All the best.

My Type/2 build cost me $600 from my CMP parts purchased in the late 90's. I've bedded 3 of my M1's 2 WW2 service grades with there original barrels. One T26 "Tanker" in 7.62 Nato from Arlington Ord. purchased in 95' for $550. It is accurized with all the Jerry Kuhnhausen match methods and shoots sub MOA with M118LR or MK316 Mod 0 hand loads.

That's excellent! Always wanted one of those 'tanker' models also. I didin't plan on putting this together, bought a Sarco parts kit while it was on sale just in case and right after that JRA came out with their gen 2 receivers. I saw it as a sign and went for it. Sorry to see so many garbage parts in the kit but I had plenty of M1 parts lying around so it came out well. Still have on kit left so might do something else in the future. I really missed out on the glory days of surplus....coulda, woulda, shoulda. Thanks for watching and for the comments!

Shuff's Parkerizing/ Battletested has everything on the BM59 variants. Great place for information. Also BM59E bayonets are on the web, just pricey but so is the ammo. Cheers

Thanks for the tip on Shuff's! I'll be sure and take a look. Ive seen a few bayonets but a little pricey for me right now....unless I can find a trade for a standard BM59 bayonet, I have a bunch of those! Thanks for watching and take care.

Very informative and well put together, I have been wondering about the cost involved with these for a while, as well as the quality of those kits. I agree it is a cool project, but not quite cost effective. I paid $1400 for my Springfield M1A National Match, and while it's not historical, it is quite nice. I'll certainly have to give this some future thought. Thanks again for sharing!

Thank you Sir! I appreciate your thoughts on this. Seems like the M1A NM is a great way to go. I'll add more history on the final video as thats a lot of the appeal with these. Thanks for the comments!

Interesting stuff. You know a lot about guns and have cool tools. I just have a hellcat and an ar and call things “the slide part” or “the spring part”. It must be hard to put so much time and effort into a project then return it. You should do a video of your least favorite guns and why you dislike them.

I have an original BM59e, which Beretta made on an M1, with the selector, semi and fullauto, the tri-compensator, makes it extremely controllable in automatic fire. and in semi, it is very precise, without recoil. greetings from Argentina

I have a JRA Gen 1 (early serial # 9xx) on an Ital later model kit with new barrel- it works great. It is cast, but gives no problems. It assembled and timed like it was made for the parts. The Gen 2 looks a little better finished. JRA seems to make good M1-M14-Beretta products - never a problem with them in my experience. I wished I could find a later barrel - can only find BM59E barrels and want to send my kit to JRA vs buying a new made gun.

I used a 59E barrel (I had 2) and they were both in great condition. JRA really did a great job on this one and I really liked the quality of the receiver. Thanks for watching and hope you find a good barrel soon!
