My Favorite Art Supplies - various media, paper, tools, and books!

Hi Friends!
For today's video I thought I would take you through a little updated tour or my favorite and most used art supplies! If you are a beginner or not, these are great tools and resources that might be fin to try out, explore, and experiment with! I quite liked my little intro to, very fun to out together a bunch of different clips of me painting various things in various places! Anyway, I hope you enjoy and let me know in the comments what some of your favorite art supplies are! My personal tip in regard to the markers and colored pencils would be to go to an art store and buy some of your favorite colors as singles! It may save you some money if you'd rather not buy a whole set, though I've lined some below if you're interested. AND if you can, try to find the books at your local bookstore :)

I wanted to put the video on for background and occasional glances to the screen. But I saw birds and my brain was like 😗 so I watched it all for which I'm quite happy. Lovely ecstatic, and I'm really interested to see you using brands of smaller business, I'll definitely look them up. Also seeing you do work outside 🥰 handy tips also! Love seeing what other artists use. And you talked about animals and conservation! Big plus for me, love it! I'll be checking out more of your content, you have me intrigued.

I LOOOOVE a good Micron. Line shading can add so much, without too much effort. I never thought of using a kneadable eraser, to press and lift off excess graphite. What a great idea/tip.

kneadable erasers are the BEST. fun story-years ago I got one in a set but didn't know what it was for, so I tried using it as a regular eraser for a while but I was very confused because it didn't work very well. then one day I saw someone using it to lift off some of the pencil markings and make their sketches lighter and my jaw dropped to the floor 😂I have been using mine for that purpose ALL THE TIME ever since!!

I love your choices in art supplies you have a great selection there!! I'm a wildlife artist myself and use a lot of soft pastels charcoal pencils love gum erasers ! I have colored pencils!! I really enjoy your art work it so very beautiful!!

I've always wanted to get into watercolors but just never have. I was given some oil pastels for my birthday one year but I have no idea how to work with them. My love is soft pastels even though it's probably been a decade since I was covered in dust from fingertips to elbows. I miss it and you make me want to pick art back up again!

Loved this, ty! Sub #750, whoo hoo! I’m so in love with those ceramic palettes, pity they only ship USA/Canada... when they’re in stock! But they’re beautiful! (The brushes too!) Psst.... You can also technically refill your “disposable” Microns with India ink (cheap and waterproof) and reuse :) (Lindsay the frugal crafter has a video on how if needed)... 😉 I just refilled all mine again last night, that’s 3x I haven’t needed to rebuy now, MOAR money for art supplies teehee 🤗🤗🤗 Also, don’t need to worry about whether India ink will clog them up or not, you were just going to throw them out anyways, right? 😜.... and if you use them often, they work fine, I’ve had no problems :)

Loved this video 😍 one question I have is the canson watercolor is not a 100% cotton paper so how do you manage your washes , I've heard it dries up too quickly. Thank you so much 😊

Thank you for your kind words! It regard to the paper, I personally haven’t noticed a problem when doing washed but that might be just because I’ve adjusted to working with it’s drying time! I also don’t do huge washes very often, so it seems to work fine for me! Sorry if thats not very helpful!! 🙈
