I eat a lot of eggs, I don't like avocado at all. Just fried up a pan of potatoes, onions, sweet peppers, and some corn. Then added an egg. Eggs and milk here are very cheap at one Aldi, way under a dollar. Of course I live 20 miles from Aldi, so stock up when we go. I am 84 years old, and I have a small garden. Tuna melts are frugal, oatmeal and scrambled eggs. Also frugal, baked potatoes with left over chili, or broccoli and cheese soup. Chilli over rice...is easy and cheap..

All sound like great recipes. Avocado is my top favorite. Maybe try avo on toast topped with scrambled eggs. A touch of salsa makes it extra nice, too.

Try pancakes with a little apple or cherry pie filling on top of pancakes with a dollop of whipped cream on top...a twist to the regular, syrup routine and supper 😋 yummy.

we had eggs on sale for .88 several weeks, I bought extra. Even making French toast six slices of bread (3 for each of us) and a little syrup! We do frugal shopping and recipies all the time. I rotate from four stores in my area, but I do not go from store to store. I have a list and I stick to it. I meal plan, but even home made mac n cheese, makes a meal for us, sometimes we put hot dogs in it, so really good and really cheap! we eat lots of cereal too!

I like to chop some tomato into my avocado with a little salt, pepper, and chilli flakes - this is delicious on toast especially if you happen to have some special bread in stock. I also like to do the scrambled egg with it and put it all into a wrap to turn it into a frugal 'posh' brunch type meal. Honesty simple meals are the best. You can also completely change the flavour of your basic sauces just by adding garlic, or something like smoked paprika. These sauces can be used for soooo many meals. They make up the foundation for curries, stews, pasta dishes, Mexican style dishes, etc... Keep your favourite ingredients in stock and turn them into many different flavoursome meals!

I grew up eating cereal for dinner and loved it. As an adult, my husband and I occasionally have “fin for yourself nights” and it always resorts to cereal haha. If it’s fine for breakfast, it’s fine for dinner 🙂

I am just now watching this video and I came over to your channel with her shout out to you. I make a quesadilla mixture of cheese salsa avocado tomatoes whatever I have on hand but I can’t have a lot of dairy so the salsa Kinda helps act as a glue so I can use less cheese it is so yummy I just set it in my refrigerator and when I want to quesadilla I make it keeps for about a week.

For avocados, take the unused portion out of the skin, mash it just enough so it can be sort of flat and wrap it tightly in cling wrap and refrigerate This keeps the air out which prevents the yucky oxidation. In the topic of butter, buy store brand if you have to but please buy real butter, not margarine or spread. Eating real food is way less expensive than a doctor visit that you’ll have if you eat crap in the name of frugality. Your eggs and avocado, in my opinion, is about as perfect a meal as you can get. Real food!

I make quesadillas this way - flour tortilla, cut up some Monterey Jack cheese fold in half and melt in the skillet. When melted pull apart and add avocadoes, tomatoes, and SWEET Pickles - must be sweet or doesn’t taste right. This is an absolute fav of mine!! Love your easy breezy meal ideas!

I like cereal too. Mostly I munch the sugar kind as a snack instead of chips and such. Usually no fat grams and vitamin fortified. The avocado peeps put out a recipe for avocado boats. Using them to crack an egg into a half and adding I think cheese and maybe bacon and them baking them. Looked like it would be good. Google for the details. I do subscribe to Money Mom. I do like eggs but how I make them can get annoying because I get noisy. My best meal is my versiin of Paula Deans Hash Brown Cassarol My favorite meal is My sister in laws Mack and cheese and hamburger. Girl with my oldest son (he’s now almost 23 & out on his own) I was a single mom until he was almost 10. Sometimes I was so exhausted from my jobs (2 full time jobs- the 2nd one was a housemother for pregnant women and their children- where I had stayed when I was pregnant with him & for the first 2 weeks of his life & thankfully I could take Austin with me to that job & the other was a full time administrative assistant in a state office - 💩💩💩 pay!!! & at the shelter I could do our laundry there). Austin’s favorite meals back in the day besides pizza, taco soup & spaghetti was the nights we would just have a bowl of ice cream each!!! Yup. 😆🤷‍♀️ that was probably 3x a month 🤭🤭 I also used recycle water bottles & would “split up” a gallon of milk or 2 & put the milk in the water bottles and freeze them - that would be our milk for the month. We never were big milk drinkers. My 5 year old though? He wouldn’t bother eating most of the time if we would just let him have warm milk 😆🤦🏽‍♀️🤷‍♀️

When my girls were little I would make them cheese quesadillas. I would cut them with a pizza cutter and the kids started calling them cheesy slice-a-dice-a’s! They are nearly 25 & 30 and still request them on occasion! My daughter had her boyfriend visiting and she asked me to make them one. He looked at it and said Is this just cheese and shell. My daughter rolled her eyes and in disgust she said Uhhhhh, they’re CHEESY SLICE-A-DICE-A’S! EVERYONE knows that! I grinned as I heard him say Really?

My favorite is sauerkraut and hot dogs...use a bag or jar of kraut, simmer on stove with extra water...add a package of diced hot dogs.and it's 4 cheap meals...hot dogs are frequently BOGO so I stock up..also low carb...
