Wow playing with Front Line Assembly!? That is super cool! I got a cassette (total terror) from one the fellas in the band back at the old 9:30 club in DC inthe late 80s? One of my favorite bands. Love your energy and hard work and great music! All the best in 2023

Was happy to see Rytm on the list as I only just picked up a pristine one with a great 2nd hand deal just today, although I had the mk1 from way back in 2014 this is a gamechanger and I'm happy to have it back in my life.

I have both Mega FM and Blast Beats. Both are on the wild side of the FM, although Mega FM can do beautiful DX-like pads. Twisted did great job with Sega chips. Also, Virus TI - it is proper industrial synth, dunno how many records were made with it. Had both C and TI, unique stuff.

the Virus TI2 wins in my book as well as Rytm MK2 and Teenage Engineering TX-6! Great combo for anything or I can use software plugins.

@@mindexpansionpuzzlesive had em all.. alpha base, tanzbar2, tanzbar... While those sound great, the workflow and features pale in comparison... Rytm runs laps around the competition

@@jjgabbana Never had the chance to use a Tanzbar 1 or 2 but for the me the simplified workflow of the Alphabase allows me to dial in the sound I'm looking for faster when I'm working on a project The Modor DR-2 is a close second in this regard.

@@mindexpansionpuzzles ooo i've never had the modor -- would love to give that a try ... the alpha base was dope but pretty limited imo. the rytm is endless. i'm a convert, i didn't try the rytm until last and i was hesitant. it has blown me away. the perfect DM imo

absolutely love the PWM malevolent. It hits hard even in the quiet spots. Desmodus Versio and Clep Diez are modules I would put on my list.

Yah, it was nice seeing some love for the crazy-cool PWM. I came across some haters recently for the cool synth and the way they talked about it... sounded like it had hurt them personally.

I really think Elektron needs a product that is like the Octatrack/Rytm/Machinedrum all in one. Just beastly all in one device. I guess they've chosen to split up their product line for sales, but it feels like they lack a definitive flagship these days. Especially with all the other offerings out there.
