Clive Barker's The Hellbound Heart is one of my fav books ever! I read it three times. And I recently read The Worm and His Kings by Hailey Piper. It's a great short cosmic horror novella. 114 pages. The ending was wild! Highly recommend .

I prefer actual short stories but love shorter novels. Pulp paperbacks across many genres were all around 200 pages. It wasn’t until the 1980s that publishers asked authors to fluff up the word count to justify higher pricing. Love that I found your channel.

Gone to see the river man was my first read of 2023 and I absolutely loved it! So messed up and even gave me goosebumps which doesn’t happen often. I want to read ‘they all died screaming’ by the same author which sounds creepy and interesting. The patient is next on my TBR 👍

Gone to see the River man still makes me want to vomit 🤢 True Crime sounds interesting! I need to read more Judith Sonnet one of these days. I’ve only read clown hunt but summer never ends sounds cool for it’s commentary on religion 😮
