Rare beauty's new formula is already very popular in asian market. That's great to see more popularization of that formula in western market. Asian market is superb when it comes to lip products.

I’ve been using the clarins lip oils for YEARS. Before lip oils were a popular thing. The honey one is my favourite. Sooo juicy and delicious 🥰

I tried the hourglass glossy balm “slip” recently and they’re amazing! I also agree about ysl making great balms. Burts bees is also another fav of mine, the tinted lip balm in rose is perfection!

The Rare Beauty lip oil looks lovely, will have to check it out. Revlon Kiss Balms are fantastic. Easy, comfortable, swipe on color, with SPF 20, in five shades. I've bought them repeatedly.

I loveee the Clarins lip oil!! I believe Clarins lip oil was released in 2015 and the Dior was 2020. I always felt like Dior took some inspiration from Clarins for the formulation.

I thought I liked the Merit lip oil the best, then I tried the Clarins mini lip oil set.... I was blown away! I love love love LOVE 💕💕 the swedish berry scent of them, I could smell it for hours! To get the shimmer you want in any lip oil or gloss, you can simply pop a bit of sparkly eyeshadow onto your lip, it works. If you like semi-gloss, get Pat McGrath pale nectar fire and the one called bronze something in the sparkly line, they are really amazing...... And not very sticky otherwise I could not tolerate them

Love this video! Right up my alley :) Yes, the Clarins Lip Oil is phenomenal - one of my favs. I agree with so many of your choices! I'm often drawn to different shades than you, but I'm 100% with you on the formulas :) The Lights Lacquer Jelly Balms are incredible. Not enough people talk about them. They feel like heaven! The shade Soft Pink Mauve is stunning - so silky and smells divine.

Amanda Z has a great video talking about the Rare Beauty lip oils, which are actually glasting water glosses. She demos several other brands (largely Korean beauty) that have been doing similar formulas for a while.

The volumizing glossy balm from Hourglass is one of my faves, especially the shade “Trace”. The Surratt lipsliques are great as well! I’m a lip balm/lip oil fanatic! 😍 The Dior lip oil in shades Rosewood & Mahogany are amazing as well as the Clarins lip oil in the shade chocolate!

You should start a series called “Same, Same but different” for every makeup category and use the video as a time to go through all the makeup in your collection to help show what products are very similar and which ones are totally different so you don’t feel the pressure to buy 5 products that are all going to do the same thing.

It's not glossy but a shiny lip balm I own is the milani color fetish balm lipstick. It definitely can't take the place of a proper lip balm and won't soothe chapped lips (low key I have the crustiest lips on the planet so I know) but it's a very comfortable sheer and shiny product. Very smooth. 8/10 in my opinion, just wish it was closer to a true balm and not as sheer

Undone Beauty Big Poppa lip gloss is fantastic. It’s hydrating, big applicator (Like Clarins lip oil) not sticky. It’s texture reminds me of Clarins….just more hydrating. Bonus….much more affordable 👍🏻

Lip oils are on trend now. I never used to use lip oils, but recently got two of the Rare beauty ones and the Nyx fat lip oil in the supermodel pink shade. I like K-Beauty lip tints and lip stains and found the rare beauty ones similar to the Romand ones, but without any fragrance. Clarins and Dior are really popular but too pricey for me for just lip oil.

Jamie, do you still find the revlon lipsticks at your drugstores in canada? I work in a major canadian drugstore, can probably guess which one lol and this product isn't even in our displays anymore because it's discontinued.

The fact you used the staining one first is grinding my gears 😂 every lip is sort of translucent so everything got the same undertone with the stained lips and it’s hard to see the colors

My favorite is the tarte maracuja balm. I have every color. They taste amazing and my lips are so shiny and the perfect flush of color. The plumping ones are also good but not as luscious.

I agree, but my only gripe about it is that it doesn’t go back down so it gets super messy. I’m so ocd when it comes to certain things, & I can’t stand my lip glosses/lipsticks to be dirty / gunky. Pretty colors, nice hydrating formula, but messy packaging. 😔
