It doesn't take much to be happy. But a good saddle is a must for a horseman.

Scott started shoeing my horses and mules back in 2011. When he first showed up at our place, he took one look at my hat and said, "Packer's crease!" I couldn't believe it! Only we old timers knew it was called a packer's crease and not a "Gus" like so many other people call it nowadays. Scott learned how to make saddles from Terrell Anderson, another fine craftsman. I still have one of the horseshoe nails that was given out at Scott's funeral. He is sorely missed.

He is missed. His funeral was a testament to his greatness. Each of his kids gave him a great tribute.

I took the USU horseshoeing clinic from Scott a few years back. It was a great experience from a great teacher. I would run into him over the years through various roping clinics or horse events and he would remember me and ask how my horseshoeing was doing. I was probably one of his least skilled students but he was always genuine and remembered me. He was a humble skilled craftsman that really cared for his horses and people who worked with them. He once had a saddle for sale and I looked at it thinking it was really nice but couldn't afford it at the time. Looking back I wish I could have found a way to purchase it. I was sad to hear when he passed away. Utah lost one of its best horse ambassadors that day. So far from what I've seen in your videos you're carrying on his legacy with your work. Keep up the awesome videos!

This is Day 1 of trying to convince Stonefield to have an episode on cow dogs and also convince Jordan peterson to be my honorary grandpapa.

Cheers from Portugal! We don't ride saddles like this, but I totally get what you're saying: 'There's no saddle like mine.

Sure like the Cantle height & shape. Looks like pretty good support for the lower back. Or just plain comfortable.

Hi there, fellow "KZfaqr" here. I LOVE the aesthetic look of your videos, and you're definitely a natural on camera 👍Question: Would you be open to listing your filming gear in your descriptions?? Or maybe I can just send you my videos to edit, haha jk. Thanks for your time. -Danielle from the PDR

This question is probably more for Mike. We shoot on a Cannon R5C and have a few different light setups with Rode mics.

This is completely off-topic, but your hat is one of the best I’ve ever seen who makes it, and Where did you have it shaped. And with all respect, That might be a personal thing to ask. If so, it’s not my intention to be rude I really admire it. Thanks Sir
