It's important to choose the right toy for your dog. Toy type, size, and firmness are all factors to consider.
Remember, there is no "magic toy" that will suddenly take your play to the next level. Play is less about the toy and more about the game you are playing. However, choosing the RIGHT toy can certainly help.
I advise trying many toys, experimenting, and seeing what works!

For anyone who's new to using fabric tug toys: Please clean them often! If you won't there will accumulate a lot of sand in the toy which creates an abrasive surface for your dog's teeth.

I needed that I rescued my amstaffy may of last year.I am healing my trauma as I uncover more of hers.Were both exhausted but we’ve finally hit our stride.❤LOVE is work.and I love her more everyday.Shes making me a better person.

Thank you for talking about ball size toys, our Prince chocked on his ball to death he was a cross collie with a bigger mouth than most collies but wish we had got him bigger balls and also on a rope it, he would probably be here still then 😢

Great video! my cavalier loves small plush toys but he's ADDICTED to anything tied to a flirt pole!

Happy to see Arrow is developing more confidence and blooming! An important use of toys for dogs who can't stop carrying sticks or stones on walks - find a nice rubber ball or similar, gentle for the teeth, and let him carry this instead. The theeth of such dogs get extremely worn down, and a non abrasive alternative will help prevent this. All the best for you!

it does take trial and error which can get a bit expensive. I had one dog, that even though I had two identical balls, he had a favorite. He would drop one and always go get his preferred ball, I couldn't tell them apart.

My English Bulldog loves to chew and isn't interested in fetch. I need to figure out how to get him to learn tug

The mcrs magnet ball ripped like 3 days after buying it 😂🤦‍♂️

I take off the black thing that covers the stitched area above the ball, then wrap that area in electrical tape. Once the tape rips, I replace it. It lasts longer, but it's definitely no where near as durable as the BolderK9 balls.

Most likely not an attack but an accidental bite.

any time I've been dinged by a tooth was because of how I held or moved the toy. If I was too erratic or flinched, my dog could bit target the toy properly and got my fingers, I think the next video should be how to play with the toys. It does take developing some zen

@@car2nerr No worries, I believe we have all been snagged by our dogs teeth. I have a 6 year old GSD that went for the tug toy and bumped my finger with her tooth. It really hurt, and broke the skin. I will probably have a lot more because I have two more puppies to train.

Car, you didn't undestood, my dog can attack me when we are playing, if the dog feels superior can it leave the toy and open agresdion to the handler?

My dog uses a ball as a chew toy , oops! 😬 I bought an expensive chew toy that he does NOT like, so now I'm stuck trying to sell it.

My GSD only plays few minutes no matter what kind of toys. Then no interest to play again. 😩

Same, as my dog. Don't expect too much. 30 seconds first time. Two day gap then try for one minute and so on. Quit while your ahead go super slow and bring cheese and chicken. Every time they make contact with tug say yes and give food. It takes time but you can do it with most dogs.
