Absolutely agree. One saturday last summer, we had rain squalls all afternoon. On a whim I jumped in my van and went catfishing. I figured no people. The rear door of my van was my canopy between bites. Best outing ever. Got drenched but constant hits and no people. Invested in rain gear since. They're spawning here, started this week. Love your vids, Sir. They'll keep me fired up while waiting for post spawn.

Hey Tom, another great fishin' video. When I can't be on the water, I come here to your adventures to get my fix. 😉 BTW, the small fin that you pointed out that is between the Dorsal fin and the tail is called the Adipose fin. The Caudal fin is the tail fin. (retired fishery biologist here)

around my area i cant get a bite till after dark, but we got 80s-90 degree weather most of the week this time of year

My 2nd comment now that i seen the 1st fish Im not positive when catfish spawn and dont know much of anything about channel cat but i know with other fish when they spaw they tear they fins and shit like that up

I havent seen the first fish yet But unless hes targeting channels 20 pounds is a baby not no trophy My pb blue was 102pounds

Funny part is, the weather would have been great for walleye fishing too. But, seems like most people are fair weather fishermen, which is just fine with me.
