Yes I do! I forgot to mention that during the video. Right now they're eating pieces that are about the size of my thumb nail.

There are a lot of different factors so I cant give you an exact number. Age and sex greatly determine how much they eat. Female ferrets typically eat 1-3oz and males typically eat 2-4 but a baby ferret can eat up to 6oz.

Duk soup is essentially just crushed up Marshall's kibble, so no it's not good. I also wouldn't buy their treats because Marshall's is a terrible company and I can't, in good conscience, promote their products. I recommend purebites freeze dried treats! They're all one ingredient and come in a lot of flavors (including minnows!) They're also cheaper, depending on where you get them. Check them out :)

puppie it would be very hard to determine what / how much each ferret is eating, which is why most people do a balance in the week instead of every meal. If you do the grinds like Kenya, each meal is technically balanced.

Pazuandfriends Its grinds that Ive mixed myself and blended! They’re going to be getting small whole things on top of the grinds (say one small thing each) to keep their teeth good too I’m only planning on getting 2 ferrets so itd be difficult for them to avoid eating certain bits

It depends on the ferrets sexes and ages. Baby and male ferrets eat the most which means you're spending more money. Generally speaking, it's more expensive than kibble BUT because your ferrets are on a heathier diet that means that you won't be paying as many vet bills when they age. It can be tricky to switch from raw to kibble, depending on the ferret. When I switched Luna and Nova (at 3&4 years old) it took me about 2 weeks, but when I switched Andromeda and Elara (at 1&2 years) it only took about 3 days! My newest baby, Lyra, didn't need a transition at all and was happy to eat raw right away! @@FriendlyNeighborhoodFerrets I have 3 males two 1 year olds and a 7 month old. Meeko would probably be easy to switch over but smudge is picky and Odin i am literally picking up today from someone so I have no idea yet

You need to have at least 3 different protiens, one being red meat. If you're only feeding one they miss out on a lot of nutrients.

check out the video I just released because you might find some helpful information in there. Unfortunately prep is a part of feeding raw, so no matter what you do you are going to have to do some level of prepping the food. I'm not sure where you live so I dont know what's available to you in terms of grinds.

You can! But I recommend tailoring it to your ferrets needs specifically. For an example, if their poops are too watery you'll have to ad more bone in meals. Definitely follow the plan that I'm trying to get them on though, that's the better one.

It's actually not advised to mix kibble with raw. It can lead to GI upset because of strain on the digestive system. I would recommend switching them to fulltime raw, if they're willing to eat that 25% raw you should be able to switch them :)

I know that both raw feeding miami and hare today have grinds on their website, but I'm not sure which ones are balanced and ferret appropriate. From my understanding, it's difficult to find raw pet food like carnivora in stores in the US but it may depend on where you live.

raw feeding miami grinds are balenced, however they are low in heart so you should also feed extra for taurine which is essential for ferrets. my pet carnivore has a few whole prey grinds which are balenced, however some of their grinds say "whole animal", but if you look at the ingredients they only contain liver for organ which is not appropriate to feed long term. hare today grinds have the same issue, some are balenced and others are not. make sure they contain 10% heart minimum, 5% liver and a total of 5% for other organs. this is an old comment but im hoping this helped!

no no no haha 7oz total. My biggest eater is Andromeda, and she eats about 2oz to herself a day, and Nova only eats about 1oz.
