That's really good to know because the lady I used has stopped practicing and I don't know who to recommend anymore. Totally get you, my wife Suffered with M.E. got told she would never work again by a specialist in M.E.(about 20 years ago) She aslo weaned herself off all the tablets, and beat this horrible condition all on her own... she now works as a support team leader ... well done, I know how difficult it is

Anna, you rock for posting this video. Please never take it down. I am a primary care doc with fibro for past 7 yrs. Accepted my diagnosis when it became incredibly disabling in the past 2 years. Thankfully have been recovering for past 6 months and that process has been equally confusing, scary, and eye-opening. I am now committing my free time on finding more about what the heck happened to me over the past 7 years and what is happening to others w/ fibro. Imcommenting here to let you know I will email your gmail and hopefully we can share each others experiences sometime. Thank you for the heart and love you put into this video

Oh that breaks my heart! Basically from when I was born. It's not fair. Gill did tell me a story about a 60 year old woman who had had it for 40 years and recovered with this therapy. She then obviously had to deal with a grieving process to deal with all this years of life lost, so it wasnt all butterflies and daisies. The story stuck with me. But the thing is that she got better after all those years and still has years ahead. I hope this works for your wife too. I'm sure of it. Best of luck and I'd be keen to hear from you on the other side xxxx

Thank you very much for sharing your experience... I was just searching for "something else" to help me fight this Fibromyalgia /Arthritis (I never know which pain belongs to which one) and your video did really took me up again, I really needed it 😊. I have been told the same as you by the doctors, those diseases don't have a cure and that I would have to deal with them for the rest of my life and I can't accept that. I started to changed all my lifestyle and nutrition, yoga, breathing, cold showers, more walking even in pain when it was possible, etc two years ago and quit my medication of course the doctors didn't agree so I was on my own. But I got into remission with RA after one year and even blood tests come out normal they still want to put me into meds cause I still have a lot of pain but I asume it's the Fibromyalgia... I was just crying not knowing what else to do trying to fight these things... and specially doing it in a way the majority of people around wouldn't do it's a hard lonely fight... so I will do some more research about this therapy. Thank you so much, you've just lighted up my day 😊

I was told to think about giving up work. I was in agony and scared of what my life was going to look like. I read everything I could about it but only positive things. I didn’t listen to anything negative. I changed my diet. Logged and tracked everything I did. My attitude towards work and life is now that I will never let anyone make me unhappy. If I hate my job, I’ll leave and find something else. My pain has reduced. I’m capable of more. What you’re saying is exactly right. I am really hopeful that I can get rid of this awful illness. Stay away from toxic positivity, eat well, laugh with friends, have fun. Work comes last on the list. It’s time we stopped giving in to working all the hours under the sun and having no life.

Interesting, person-centred counselling can focus on physical sensations and feelings and lead to pain reduction. I'm a mental health support worker at the moment and encourage people to monitor how they're feeling mentally and physically and act based on that without guilt. This seems like a more focused explicit way to do the above.

@annaglowinski
@annaglowinski 4 жыл бұрын
Really? You didn´t understand? Um, let´s see if I can sum it up here. Everytime you get a symptom you make a note of it (either written or mentally). You check what you are doing and how you are feeling. You then change what you are doing and take an action to change how you are feeling. You see if the symptom has reduced. Repeat. When you go into it with a therapist, its more detailed, more obvious and more personal to you. You learn to listen to your own body. They´re just hugely exaggerated emotions. Like, if a normal emotion is tense muscles because you are scared, FM muscles are siezed up. If a normal emotion is lethargy becuase you are bored, FM is extreme tiredness. Hope that helps and hope you manage to get rid of it. I couldn´t have done it alone, because it wasn´t obvious to me without a therapist. You know the expression "can´t see the wood for the trees"? It was like that. Best of luck x

Heya Czar, my recommendation? try a bit of Mickel therapy anyway, don´t wait for diagnosis because it takes ages, tehy daignose by ruling everything else out. It´s a horrible process of hospital appointments and worry and just not a lot of fun. Or at least, try and start to take note of yourself...what moments do you flare up? Are you feeling worried? Bored? Annoyed? and start noticing when you feel alright. What things in life might be really worrying you? These days, even when I get a common cold I try to give my body the best chance to fight it by making sure I´m emotionally at my best, which then makes my body stronger. Anyway, whatever you do, best of luck xx

Hysterectomy fix the pain, then by doing the opposite, you fixed the fibromyalgia. Without the hysterectomy, you would still have fibromyalgia. Doing the opposite can help some, it can also make it worse. Finding the injury or pain that has caused the fibromyalgia, can be very difficult. I'm glad you found a way out. Unfortunate for me, my fibro comes from atypical trigeminal neuralgia. Doing the opposite for me, would be no sound, no light, no chewing, no talking etc.

What helped me and many others was a vegan and high nutrition diet. I have lived with Fibromyalgia for decades. There might be various causes for people. Nothing worked for me except diet change. Dr Fuhrman’s high nutrition diet relieved symptoms after a few months on the diet. It is challenging to change your diet, but it works.

Hi Anna, Congrats on your remarkable recovery. Many thanks for your honest, courageous and engaging video. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2020, although reflecting back it started several years before then. Over this time the symptoms have gotten aggressively worse and now experiencing intermittent intense pain in my right foot that seems to be getting worse. I have been having acupuncture treatment so not sure if the treatment is part of fibro or something else entirely until I have it examined. I had felt for a long time it was my body sending me messages to regain more control over my health and well-being, as I have been also diagnosed with a frozen shoulder too and skin issues that I previously never suffered with, all getting progressively worse. I have not taken sufficient action on the work I know needs to be done. In this aspect, you have confirmed that I need to do the work and provided some helpful tools to possibly get it done, although it may not be the same for everyone. May well check out the therapist you used. I had about 8 sessions of acupuncture, and whilst very relaxing and helping to ease muscle tension, it has not been beneficial in treating the root of the problem, which is what has happened to me and my ability to meaningfully process it, take action, and move on from it. My fibromyalgia pain is quite overwhelming, equally on an emotional level too. Seeing my body becoming so stiff and so restricted in movement. I have faith in God, who I believe led me to your video despite your own beliefs in this area. : ) With heartfelt gratitude. . I look forward to posting mine here too as a thank you to you and to inspire others too. : )

How are you doing now? My friend has fibromialgia and shes really suffering right now. Should I send her this video or is that overstepping my bounds as a friend?

Wow, good question. I would get pissed off when i was ill with people saying "have you tried ... XYZ" and i was thinking "i've tried EVERYTHING!!!" . But at the same time, it was someone contacting me on Instagram that gave me my solution. So, i would say that as a friend it would be a shame not to give her new options and ideas but maybe approach it gently, like, just that you're thinking of her and not that you're trying to tell her what to do. You sound like a lovely friend for being so considerate, so i'm sure she'd know you're intentions are from a good place xx

Ps. I'm still fine. I still get my moments of warning from my body and have to remember what I've learnt and go back to basics e.g. this summer i had a few days of insomnia because i got so wired from doing child care and trying to please everyone else around me too. It meant some uncomfortable conversations and saying no to people who've not really known me to say no before but I muddled through and got my sleep pattern back :)

I would like to know why people suffer way worse stress than you went through and dont get cfs?
@annaglowinski
@annaglowinski Жыл бұрын
Because it's not about the stress. It's about how you deal with it. I dealt with it wrong, slapped a smile on and pretended I was fine. So that meant my body started screaming at me. It's never a good idea to suppress tears or frustration or to ignore worry, but that's what I did wrong

@@annaglowinski my aunt doesn't address emotions. She has strong ability to brush everything under the carpet. She shows no emotions at all despite suffering. Is that the same as what your saying?
@annaglowinski
@annaglowinski Жыл бұрын
@@Star5dg possibly! I'm no expert and can't speak for every individual, I can only speak for what worked for me and how I understand it. For me, I understand it like, our emotions are all experienced physically (e.g. sweaty palms when scared, butterflies in tummy when worried, water coming out of our eyes when sad) and that exists as a way to alert us that something is wrong. If you ignore those feelings, like I did by keeping busy doing sport, they just get stronger in time because you're not doing anything about it. They know now that IBS is also caused by the same type of thing - anxiety and people not knowing how to confront their worries. I hope your aunt finds ways to deal with her troubles in a healthy way for her 🤞🌺

Hi, i'm so sorry to hear you're suffering with fibromialgia. And sorry for not replying sooner. I'm fine now. Sometimes I have moments of insomnia (for a few days this summer when i was too busy looking after everyone else) or tinnitus (when my body tells me i need to chill out). But they're warning signs to remind me to look after myself again and Say "no" to things

We can manage FM/ME for sure. Hydrotherapy & yoga definitely in my daily routine. However FM is not something you can cure or recover from. You can be 2 on the scale rather than 10. But not being able to fall asleep or pain will never go away completely. If that is the case , you never had FM to begin with

That's just not true. I had it for a year, was in a wheelchair. And now I am recovered. And if I ever get a symptom, which I do occasionally, like a twitchy eyelid or a sore tummy, then I know I need to start listening to my body again and get back to full health

I have heard this so many times. If you recover from FM you never had it in the first place. Where does this certainty come from. The medical profession , in my experience, are clueless. I have FM and after a year or Mickel therapy I am almost recovered
