I was surprised to see that Gus gets his guitars sent the same way as normal people. For some reason I thought there would be extra special packaging or a rad case.

I like how original the audio on this video is , you can hear the pick hitting the strings and as well as the reverberation from the guitar as well as the sound from the amp , So you know there are no overdubs etc etc Btw I got into blackstar because of you 😎

Congrats.I have rare Squier showmaster 7 string for couple of months and i love it, everyday i discovered a new way to incorporate that seventh string into a unusual chords progression and what not,it’s so amusing.The only thing every guitar should have is the fret markers,they are helpfull for orientation,i don’t know why guitar makers don’t put it as a default thing

Considering the high frequencies it is amazing that your cat is chilling while you are playing. My cat is able to handle mine as well...not like some that have run away lol. Sounds great! It’s taking me a while to get comfortable with my 7 string. I decided to move to drop A tuning as I seem to find more ideas there. Keep burning it up!

Gus, I dunno if you'll see this or entertain this, but I absolutely love your signature lineup of those Star guitars and I know you don't play 7 strings too often, but it'd be real nice if in your signature lineup you had one Gus. G Star that was a 7 string. There's not enough 7 strings with that sort of shape from the big brands. Sure, you got the Dave Davidson Warrior from Jackson and they're real cool, but Ibanez discontinued their Xiphos lineup a long time ago and BC Rich don't have any Stealth 7 models at the moment. Dean only offers one Razorback 7 in a generic gloss black. I think Ormsby guitars are big enough to be considered one of the top tier brands but besides their X shape guitar, the only other places people can find 7 string guitars with the X shape or star shape is from boutique brands. I'd love to get myself one of Dave Davidson's Warrior 7 string but if you had Gus G. Star 7 string I'd pick that over the former! Just something I'm sure a lot of people would like to see cause that Star shape is real gnarly, but a lot of us prefer playing 7s over 6 strings. I know this might be too much to ask, but it'd be nice! Dime never played 7 strings either but Dean still offer the Razorback 7 under Dime's name. Just something you could consider, or not. No biggie. Anyway, much respect to you brother!

That's a beautiful guitar, Gus! I might have to get one. I picked up my first 7 string about a year ago. When you made the comment about not knowing which string you were on, that was the SAME thing I experienced. Odd how one extra string confuses the mind and fingers. I will use my 7 string to break ruts...but I usually end up going back to 6 string. BTW, the new Firewind album is positively nuclear!!!

Some bands play 6-th & 7-th even on the one album, so it is not a problem to adept at all. I think, it is useful for musician.

Such a shame that Blackstar discontinued the HT metal series. I have the exact same combo amp at home. It's sick! In general I dislike the Indonesian Jacksons. When you are used to play with their USA or Japanese older models, to play with an Indonesian guitar normally sucks as they lack clarity and definition. Keep rocking!

Here's a thing Gus some months ago you visit Germany specifically Karlsdorf at the Hofa recordings my mom is working there the 1st thing she said to me was..hey listen I met a guy today really cool he wasnt speaking german I thought he had a familiar accent he was trying to make conversation him speaking english me trying to understand a little bit from the few english I know....he is a guitarist being leader of a rock band prety famous but really cool one....well after time he found out I'm Greek and he was surprised telling wow what a coincidence me too.the next thing she said was you may know him you love rock music.... It's very strange playing a 7 string when you've been playing 6 strings all your life. I am struggling incorporating the 7th string into my playing. So far it's nothing more than a thumb rest for my left hand. I have to concentrate and focus on the low...what would it be...F sharp? As soon as I lose focus on the new string it vanishes from the lineup and it's again a 6 string. Hard to undo 33 years of habit.
