My First Black Walnut Bowl!

Күн бұрынA very exciting video today! I made a bowl using black walnut for the first time. Black walnut is a very hard wood so it took a long time to make… and I may have had to restart once… or twice. Through perseverance we got it made. That's a beautiful bowl. I've got a lot of walnut available to try to make a bowl half as good as yours! My problem with walnut is that it is very prone to splitting.

Very nice bowl! I turn a lot of Black Walnut and it never seems to disappoint. Just split a log yesterday and will turn 2 more bowls soon
