My First Fight: DECATHLON WAIKRU Amateur Muay Thai Tournament Chiang Mai Thailand April 8th 2022

This was my first Muay Thai fight here in Thailand. A fun amateur event put on by the sporting goods store Decathlon and their Muay Thai brand Waikru. I would definitely recommend a tournament like this for anyone who is looking to have their first fight experience.

Damn.. gotta say I admire your gumption in preparing for and doing this while managing an inguinal hernia... wish you tue best, Tom!

It's hard pushing your body with the fear that the hernia can make another appearance, luckily it hasn't been an issue while training so far.

@@tommaher1841 My hernia usually makes n appearance when my body is totally relaxed. When I do squats in the gym, for instance, it stays in place.

@@karuonline3294 About like one third of a golf ball poking out. I do calisthenics and a couple yoga poses that target those muscles, like Tom does. But I don't do as much of the yoga. Not sure if I will do surgery.

@@josephtougas9269 Tom seems quite well built and stronger than most since he's a fighter..I hope you're strong as well and you are functionally healed very soon.. if you do have to get surgery some day, consider one without a. mesh, Desarda

Haha that will be the day, what sort of training routine do you mean, for Muay Thai?

@@ptrainingbytim So at the time of preparing for this fight my hernia had been in for many months, I was able to focus on muay Thai training every day. The only thing I did to maintain my hernia staying in was nauli kriya each morning with my yoga practice.
