Basketball is mostly CONFIDENCE driven. I can remember looking into the eyes of guys on my team when the opponents had game and you can see the fear in them about guarding good players. Im built different because I was the guy who couldn't wait to go after the best player reason being is I had CONFIDENCE in my defense.

Quiet is kept before LeBron James got on the basketball court Vince Carter was the most talented player in basketball.. But he didn't have the organization behind him.. That's Toronto raptors organization did him wrong.. A new coach every other year only got him aging stars then when he's ready to win after 67 years in the league they bring in a young Chris Bosh but no stars going to be content with that they're ready to win at that moment. That dude had the most range of any of the guards in that era by far his handles were more than capable more explosive than anyone else. Clutch Jean was there. Had a fade away or fall away from anywhere on the court.. That dude's potential never was met and even still he is a Hall of famer

Carter did make it to the nba finals when he was in NJ with Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson. He was only in Toronto until he was about 28 so he still had most of his good years ahead of him. My question is sure he was good on offense, but what about defense? From what I remember he didn't play much defense. I could be wrong because it was a while ago. Gotta remember there are 2 sides to the ball though.

What I like and respect about Gilbert Arenas is his honesty of playing in the NBA. If fans ignore some of the negative things off court, and his critics, Arenas is teaching anyone who is willing to listen to him what it takes to make it in the NBA. I was a die hard University of Arizona fan when I lived in Tucson back in the mid 1990's. I honestly raised my eye brows when he announced his intentions to enter the NBA draft. But then I realized how much confidence he had in playing the game he loves. It's looks insanely hard to play in the NBA. And Gilbert shares his knowledge of his experiences. And I like that about him.
