its quieter and easier to use than a petrol version but is it any good?

Spoke to a Dewalt guy on a roadshow. They split the shafts to half the shipping costs. No other good engineering reason other than ease of shipping.

yeah that makes sense, cant see any other real positive to it although some may benefit from the design
