I hope they improved the lumbar support. Its fine at first, but after several hour it starts becoming uncomfortable/stiff

Is the Zody II seat soft/cushiony? I recently got the Fern V2 with the thicker pad from Crandall and it is killing my back and butt. Going to have to return it. Oh you said in video it is similar to leap...maybe high end chairs are not for me. My previous $300 Beauty rest was super comfortable..but just had no flexibiliy (no adjustable arms etc) but it had forward lock and all that and overall was just a good chair.

Not sure there's enough of an improvement over the Zody I. Seems as though it lost some comfort, at the cost of aesthetics. I like the more sturdy armrests, but don't like that they are harder like the fern, which I tested for a month. Very interesting move by Haworth.

What do you mean by the Zody having a forced back tilt? Like there is no way for the chair to lock in a neutral flat position?

My custom Zody II will be here tomorrow, actually. I originally requested a Zody Classic because that's the one I actually got to test out at the dealership but the consultant convinced me the Zody II was even more comfortable so I went with it. The seat was one of my favorite parts about the Zody Classic so the fact you are saying it's not as cushy is making me really hope I made the right call.

@@ib78 The seat is certainly firmer like he said but idk that it's necessarily a bad thing. I think the seat being firm will make it last longer as it breaks in. And it's not like its rock hard, just not as cushy as the Zody Classic. I'd say after 5-6 months of continuous use it will be just as cushy as the Classic. At the end of the day I'm very happy with my purchase. I wasn't at first but the seat is growing on me. I finally found my ideal lumbar setting and yeah I'm very comfortable. Worked 12 hrs today and I'm not sore at all like I was with the shitty Amazon one I had.

Thanks for all of your videos. I bought one of your refurbished Leap V2s for my work office and it’s a major upgrade over my old chair. Now I am looking for a chair for my home office. I need one I can sit in all day when working from home for computer tasks, but also it would be awesome if I could completely get the arm rests out of the way so I can play guitar. Any suggestions?

Depends on what size guitar you have tbh. I recommend the Embody, as it has a large adjustment range for the arm height, meaning that you can lower it to make space. Most other high end office chairs have great armrests, but I don't think you can completely get them out of the way.

Anyone have issues with rhe bottom cushion having a lot of play when it "locks" into a setting? Mine wiggles all the time. The righr side has more play too which feels wierd on my back

Overall, it looks like a good improvement, but probably not a great idea to change to a firmer seat. Original Zody has a very comfortable seat.

After 1 of years of sitting, my original zody's seat is completely flattened out and I feel I'm sitting on a wood plank. I'm an average weight person. I'm curious to see if the new model, while still being firm will stay confortable for longer.

Looks like another Haworth chair that won't sell in the UK. The digital knit has some quality issues in Europe and that's the reason why only the mesh version of the Fern is available.

i dont see any mention of this on the site. it doesnt seem to be available however theres another new Zody Upholstered thats a completely different design with the Zody name that looks awesome. hopefully you can review that soon. also, it seems that this chair has a addition to the lumbar. looks like a second piece under the main lumbar adjustment.

Is there a chair that you would recommend for very tall people? I am 6'7" and I really need better ergonomics, but I don't have the budget for trial and error with these products.

I’m 6’4”. Had the same issue until I got my Steelcase Amia. Highly recommend looking into it So much more comfortable for tall people and very adjustable especially when you get the adjustable sliding seat

I don't understand the whole "perched position" when using a standing desk. I own a Jarvis and have my desk and seat height set accordingly for comfort. Why lift things higher? I'm curious what the advantage is.

It gets you into a different position and posture so you give some muscles a break and engage others. It's the idea that "the next position is the best position" meaning that we need to move more throughout the day to stay healthy. This position allows you to use it like a perching stool or standing desk chair. -Ryan

@@btodtv Hey Ryan, thanks so much for the answer. I ended up visiting a Canadian retailer (I wish you shipped to Canada) to try a Zody II and I completely understand what you mean. I'm definitely on the fence on making a purchase coming from a Fern (the gap between the backrest and seat is killing me at 6'

Just picked up a Zody for 15 Canadian. Had to buy arm pads but they were 44$ canadian shipped from Haworth directly.

@@Avis03 older lady thought it was broken, but she didn't want to deal with it. It was a tad dirty so I took it all apart and cleaned it. Good as new now.

Which chair among the 3 has the best upright position in the reclined settings? Zody 1, Fern or Soji? This is probably the most important thing for me in a chair. If you can please answer this, it would be great :)

Two completely different chairs, you need to try both of them out and see which one suits you best.

I think the Zody 1 is a great chair but I think most poeple would lean toward the Embody because of the recline. Its a bit of an acquired taste on the Zody 1. -Ryan

@@btodtv thanks, my problem with the Haworth is the build quality. The Chair is new and the left armrest is loose. I'm from Germany, I'm from Germany, I don't know if the quality is different here, my third Haworth two Fern has already arrived, both broken.

The LX should just be an upholstered II. Can't remember the Fern's firmness, hopefully it's nowhere near Leap/Gesture firmness.

Imo this is not as firm as the Fern. It's not even that firm honestly, it's just firmer than the Zody Classic which is already known for being pretty soft for a high end chair. Trust me when you sit in it for 6+ hours you'll be glad that it's firmer than a Leap.

Fern is more firm that the Gesture or Leap. Zody 2 is basically the exact same firmness as the Fern. Seats are almost identical. -RB

Maybe it's just me but chrome always looks super cheap.

Definitely a matter of perspective, when it comes to chrome. However, the polished metal on these high end office chairs is aluminium, never chrome. The basic versions are usually always a high quality plastic, but you can pay extra to have aluminium instead, either a semi-polished titanium finish or fully polished aluminium.

@@moepOo I see what you mean, I've seen the same metallic shine on lower end chairs too, so it can be deceiving. The only way to truly know is to feel the metal lol.
