Despite living in the PNW all my life, I've never actually ridden mountain bikes in California. With Portland under a layer of ice, it was time to pack up the rig and head south for some sunshine and dry trail.
The first stop was Redding, CA, just across the border from Oregon.
A local friend suggested we head 15 minutes out of town to the Mule Ridge and Swasey Recreation area, and check out their jump trail called 'Enticer'. We got up bright and early and headed out for a quick lap... and we were not disappointed!
Enticer warms up with some small tables and well built corners before offering a few optional decent-sized gaps, the largest of which is around 20 feet and jumps over the rest of the trail. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
