Thanks for the video. I poured buckets set under roof line to catch rain into 2 pickle barrels I have. We just bought 3 more barrels and ordered water spigots to install in all of them. Glad I found your channel.

You just gave me a great idea instead of me keep caring gallons of water to my chicken coop I'm getting one of those barrels fix it up like you have it run a little hose inside the coop and put one of those long freaking pipes or the chickens can Hector roll beats in there I want to do it I bet you that would work thank you

@SundayBackyardFarmer2 жыл бұрын
I want one of those big plastic totes. But if I were to get one I would have to build a structure for it. With the white plastic it allows too much sunlight in which promote algae growth.

First time here and new subbie. Really enjoyed the vlog and info on the rain water barrels. Great great idea. I have a barrel for water but it's for watering the garden. Might look into one for our own use. We are having such a drought in Europe they are rationing water asking us not to use the hose for garden and washing cars ect.

@@SundayBackyardFarmer Oh ok, I'm in Albany. Yes they have been. This guys here has 55 Gal and maybe more. I only invested in this high price Berkey water LITE. because I don't have my own land YET like most of yall. I dont want to pay rent either. I rather pay low taxes a year so I chose the mobile water option until I have my own land to put big barrels for stationary locations. Thanks for the info! Have a good one.

Does the leaves the first get vent out, just fall on the tank? I'm thinking you have to devert or catch them. I can see how bigger the container would be better. You will need an over flow hose. I have been thinking about doing this. Thank you, you made it look like I can do it my self.
