Congrats on running your first RunDisney race! And thank you so much for sharing it with us! I'm running my first RunDisney races at Marathon Weekend 2022. It's really helpful to start planning my Expo purchases and figuring out all the moving parts of a race weekend!

First of all congrats on your first race! Such a great accomplishment! Just FYI because it’s a pet peeve of mine as a runner 😂 The only weekend that has a marathon at Disney is Marathon weekend in January. All other weekends the longest race is a half (well except for the springtime surprise this next year when it’s a 10 miler!)The extra medal for wine and dine was for the two course challenge, which is running the 10K and marathon, equaling 19.3 miles total. I’m excited for the springtime surprise weekend because I’ve always wanted to do a challenge, but a 10K and a half in one weekend was intimidating! I have a goal to do the Dopey for my 45th birthday though! 4 races in one weekend for a total of 48.6 miles! With training, you could do it too!

Congrats! I ran my first 5K for my 40th birthday at the last Star Wars RunDisney in Anaheim 2017 and it’s set me on a course to be a runner. I hated running but after seeing how Disney does runs, it changed my outlook. I’ve done dozens of races now and originally had my eye set on the Star Wars Half Marathon at DisneyWorld in April 2020 but we all know how that ended up. Still going to make it happen with a RunDisney Half one of these days. They are addictive and set you on a great path of physical fitness, fun and bonding with an amazing running community. Can’t wait to see your next RunDisney adventure!

Congrats! I see more Rundisney races in your future. BTW, a full marathon is 26.2 miles, so this race didn't have one. The most was the half at 13.1. This race had running 5k, 10k, and 13.1 miles for the challenge.

Congratulations! The addiction is real. I know it’s your first one but you may want to learn more if you decide to do a longer one but just so you know there are no balloon ladies (pacers) for the 5k’s.

Congrats Michael… I started participating in runDisney events in 2012; my 1st 1/2 marathon and then eventually ran my 1st full marathon @ Disney. Running down Main Street USA is wonderful. Keep it up, you’ll be running the Goofy & Dopey Challenges before you know it!

I'm with you Michael, If my family would acquiesce I would start playing Christmas music in August. I at least have them accepting of the decorations going up in November. Way to rock the Run Disney event, I've always wanted to participate and you made it look like such fun. Thank you so much for sharing.

Oh woah Mr Michael! This looks absolutely incredible! And it’s your first Disney run too!? That’s awesome, this was such a fun video to watch, you’re like a kid at Christmastime! :) We wished that we could’ve done this run this year, but it was all sold out when we decided to sign up, however! We did sign up for the princess and Star Wars runs for next year, and last year we did the virtual Star Wars and Lion King runs! Do you plan on doing anymore runs? 👀

Michael, I like to pin the bib to my shorts. Right on the thigh. So long as you're not in the first two corrals they usually don't mind. Also, you're going to have to run a half or a full. The photo opportunities are really fantastic!

Once you do one you can’t stop that’s what happened with me and now I have done over 20 and all the challenges to boot! They are so much fun and live the atmosphere while running there! I just wish they would bring back the ones at Disneyland too.

Tears running down my face as you're under Spaceship Earth headed to the Finish Line. The energy in these races is unbelievable. Such an amazing feeling! I had my boys do the Mickey Races in 2015. Cannot wait til we can coordinate a trip to WDW for a 5K! Congratulations!!!!
