As you know, Italians renown for being some of the best artisans in world, in many different fields. Never heard of Jacobo but now I'm aware of another great Italian pipe maker. What a lovely surprise dear Lester! I have two Ser Jacopo (pronounced Ya’-ko-po) pipes that have given me pleasure for over 20 years. They are work horses that taste better and better. Their “La Fuma “ line (the smoker) line is one of the best, so well done 👍 I have not tried the aromatic tobacco, not my style but it sounds tasty. That pipe will darken beautifully and should become one of your favourites. Really lovely shape. Ser Jacopo, I believe comes from the Pesaro school that was founded my Mastro de Paja and they have excellent aged briar. Enjoy my dear friend and my very best regards to you and La Signora. That is a beautiful pipe, my friend! There is something about a Italian pipe, or any product made there, that's special. The tobacco is not what I usually enjoy. I have always used the cling wrap method to seal my humidors. Mainly ,because I'm cheap. I also place a tight rubber band just below the lid to seal around the skirt of the wrap. It gives a little more protection being a sort of second seal. Enjoy your beautiful new acquisition! Cheers!

Beautiful pipe. Did not realize you live in Switzerland. I did a road trip across western europe and part of England this past September. Switzerland was a wonderful time. Very fun for driving, i had a very hard time finding a decent tobacco shop however haha. Ended up buying some Deluxe Navy rolls and Vincent Manil Semois in Ghent Belgium on way back to England to catch our flight home. Also got a few beautiful Cubans for the humidor. Have a great day!

Can't say I have one..but I do have 1-2 tins of the Sea Rock baccy (near or same year & same bulge) imma guess that age took a good amount of the flavor with it (typical arros) but at least no sour taste! Smooth is always the idea. Great vid as always me ol' mate. You have my gears turning...what if a mist of vanilla cognac with 2 drops of chocolate syrup were used to slightly add some spring to the dryness. Nothing crazy just a quick spray or two on the days offering spread on a cutting board (I have a small one just for baccy) or parchment paper...let it rest a min or five then pack away. 🤔 wonder if it might revive it... Thinking I'll experiment the day I crack open the stash. Anyway enough said....congrats again on your new pipe! Cheers! 🍻🥃🍺🍸

Ser Jacopo pipes are among my favorites! And, I beg you, don't ignore Mastro Geppetto either. They are made in the same atelier by the same craftsmen.

The grain on that one really is quite nice.

WoW WoW WoW 😮 now this is the nicest pipe I've seen the entire month! Holy smokes😍that grain positioning is absolutely perfect. Birdseye sides with the flaming on the breast. Perfection. A nice long smoke from that bowl as well. And its sitting position! Brilliantly proud in stature. Good grief Lester! Even a 9mm!! I think the price was a bargain. I wouldn't have been able to get my wallet out fast enough. Sheesh, i need a nap after this showing hahaa!😂 Thanks for the look😊take care Mate🍻

I will add praise for your good taste in pipes. If the tin was actually from 2014, one can only wonder what age gave, or took, from the tobacco. Also, being a time piece nut, great clock chimes.
