Nice one, Cary! My local community of about 400 people, in true Texas glory, has only 1 restaurant: a combination BBQ/gas station. They asked if they can put a checkered tablecloth over this pinball machine, & use it as a table if no one is playing it. No joke- I’m getting my brisket sandwich now!

I'm sure 90% of the BBQ places out there wouldn't want the pin if you did the operator thing and supplied the pin and split the revenue with the owner of the restaurant. If I was an operator, the last place I'd want to put a brand new pin is an establishment where sauce is one of the major food groups.

Entertaining and on point! Part 2...BBQ restaurant owner realizes he doesn't need to buy a game, he can just call an area pinball operator, have him bring in a machine of ANY theme type as theme doesn't matter at all, and operator and owner are happy in their 50/50 earnings split.

It's so dumb. "If people like BBQ they will like pinball if it involves BBQ!" No, they won't. They want to eat BBQ not pretend to cook it. But hey. In 20 years when this machine costs less than meat, maybe it'll become a cult classic nostalgia item.

I would like to meet the three people that bought a BBQ game. I love Barry's games, but this feels.. weird? Like AP went "hey, we have this hot wheels layout we can modify, but we'd like to do something nice for Barry's widow. We know he enjoyed BBQ in texas while he worked for deeproot, can we somehow merge the two and get her a cut by licensing his likeness?". Guessing we'll never see food truck, but whoever acquired the goonies layout he started working on can you at least attempt to make that into a game?

Absolutely spot on. This company is not only completely out of touch with the target market, but completely out of touch with pinball in general. I have been playing since the 70s, collecting buying, trading and selling pinball since 1995 and this theme is a bigger head-scratcher than Hardbody.

There's a great BBQ place near us but I like the owners too much to suggest they buy BBQ pinball

I was at Allentown last weekend and there was a single BBQ game set up for play. The line was stupid long so I never got a shot at it. BBQ (the game, definitely not the food) is not something that would appeal to me as a theme. A few of my friends did manage a game or two and in their opinion it was pretty solid for what it was. Again, that was their opinion. I never played it.
