EN:It happened... my first tarantula escape. And that in the middle of a big tarantula rehousing. How to find a missing spider? Chek out the video.

My Arizona Blonde is also the most chill T, I've ever seen. Even when startled they just slowly rotate in place and trundle away... eventually... On the move so often and never in a hurry. ;)

I dropped one of the clamps for the lid off my Aphonopelma seemanii's enclosure behind my snake's enclosure and just haven't bothered to get it yet but now I'm going to have to. I can't have her escaping, and she's a really big girl so she's probably strong enough to lift the lid like yours did. It's crazy they can do that! I'm so glad you found your seemanni and congrats on the new additions! I love the A. germani, such a cool species.

I caugh my Lasiodora klugi trying to lift the lid one day, although that was one of those those cheap boxes that are meant to keep salad. The fact that they can open a small braplast is a bit scary, thinking that I kept OBTs and Ceratogyrus in those. Yeah, finally a female Amazonius germani ^^ So colorful and fast, but the chalcodes really is a stunning, calm beast.

That rehouse was one of the easiest that I had with an Amazonius. I can still remember when I tried to make pictures of one in a natural looking setup. The spider bolted like 6 times... they are super fast, not Hetoropoda/cupiennius levels of fast, but nonetheless pretty fast.

Thank you very much ^^ I like to give knowledge straight with the occasional interesting fact sprinkled on top. I think there is a lot of room to exchange experiences, they are all part of the journey (with successes and failures).

Great video Mark! Great new additions as well! I've got 13 new spiderlings on the way 2x P. Rufilata, 2 P. Striata, 2 P. Tigrinawesseli , 2 T. Seladonia, H. Pulchripes , C. Hati Hati MM and another OBT. My week will be very busy! ill post pictures on the facebook page when they are all received and in their new enclosures

That was quite a challenge in my tarantula/miniature wargaming/hobby room ^^; I am already in love with the Aphonopelma chalcodes... so chilled and beautiful.

@@tarantuhalla they are a really calm species I had an adult female she was that calm I could touch her fangs even pick her up without any reactions from her she passed of old age a couple month ago so will defo get another at some point

I have enjoyed your video. Dave of Dave's Little Beasties has a great video. He had an escape of a Gramastola...opened the plastic home. He ha a large following. His fans will like you as do I. He is in the UK. Reach out for advice. Love to see babies and sling handling.

Ahhh I've had a couple of escapes one out of a braplast the same as that one. I never found mine though 😢 glad you found yours, some lovely new tarantulas there! Calcodies are my favourite 😊

I left mine cracked open one night, and she's in my room. I tore it up and couldn't find her, but I knew she'd turn up sooner or later. I sleep on a traditional Japanese floor matress, so I knew I'd probably feel her or something. I fell asleep, and got up later with her sitting there right by my head. 😂😂 I was not amused but happy to have found her.

That is definitely a weird experience and thank you for sharing that ^^; I've never had the chance to try to sleep on a japanese futon mattress, despite being a fan of japanese culture. Especially sword oriented martial arts, which I am practicing to this day, although not that often.

I am a bit afraid to pair the Hysterocrates seeing those levels of aggression... but there is no reason not to try. Pamphobeteus are stunning, I cannot wait to see them in full size. I need to think about a dedicated spider room ^^;

@2:30 in the video the tarantula seemed to have what appeared to me as mites might want to check that one out if you havent seen it already

I just double checked the T. No, those are not mites, it looks more like flicked hairs that got stuck on the abdomen. Well, hopefully everything will be alright after the molt. My friend gave me those on the fly while in a hurry to an Expo in Bielsko-Biała.

Amazing tarantulas and awesome job on the rehouses! I have an Arizona blonde and I was also able to handle one in the wild at a friend’s home years ago. Monsoon was coming and we helped them along the way as much as possible. I also have the H gigas but I think my adult female is broken she is very much docile. The A Germani is such an underrated species! I named my adult female Duski because the colors remind me of the sun at dusk in summer. Thanks for giving tips on a missing tarantula! I think we have all had one heart attack as t keepers 😂 awesome video!

It is an underrated species, definitely... but they are so colorful... I would really love to see a tarantula in the wild, but the closest would be the Lycosa tarantula (or tarantula Wolf Spider) if I would visit Italy ;)

I had a red Chilean rose hair escape once it was gone, around in the house for a week or so, eventually locating her under the kitchen sink area😂😂 at 5am 😮😂😂
