Pls go back to the 50's to see what Elvis had to go thru to put his music out. Do some research u will be surprised . Elvis grew up in the ghetto , dirt poor, no electricity no inside plumbing. Elvis didn't get the respect he deserved while he was alive. Go see the Elvis movie u will learn alot about Elvis as a human being & man.

I believe Elvis was born & raised in Mississippi, a southern boy. He wasn't fake. People were jealous & envious of him. Soul doesn't have a color. It's within you. You either have it, or you dont. Elvis definitely did have it❣️ He was a good actor also. Check out one of his many movies sometime. ❤ 😃

Just to add to my previous comment. During his childhood, there was a time when things got so bad that his father Vernon attempted to forge a cheque, but got caught and did time in prison. 2 yrs I think. This left Gladys and Elvis to have to fend for themselves. There were people who helped them through that, as much as they could. I think thatit was During this time Elvis learned how generosity, and people giving, even when they didn't have much themselves, can really make a difference during hardship. Maybe that's where his generos and giving nature came from. Being on the receiving end of that and knowing how that feels, is something people don't understand unless you live it yourself. Of course, being in that situation, you also know the other side of that coin of how people can be cruel.. It helped shape who he was as a human being.

Elvis was the heart throb of all the women when he was back in his day. What am I talking about they carried torches for him for years. Even after his death. He was so good and powerful singer. He brought tears to my eyes when he sung American Trilogy! You can really respect him and anyone that did not see that were blind. He used to kiss the women down front at the stage all the time. The women went crazy..... Big smiles. Rest in Peace but never forgotten!!!!!!!

I was a teenager in the 60’s and went to every Elvis movie and loved Elvis more than the Beatles. The high hair on women was achieved with special hair pieces. Back then girls always dressed up and we went to dances every week-end. Music was a big part of our social life because T.V was so limited. Glad you enjoyed this Video. He really worked his audience which made it fun!

I grew up listening to Elvis around the time he passed and well into the 80's, still love his music. The fact this dude had the balls to get up there dressed like he was, and do his dancing, or gyrating maybe, and sometimes karate, and still keep the audience glued in was great. He has the full attention of the audience in every live show I've watched. Guy is still great all these years later.

He was the first man ever censored on TV because they thought he danced “too vulgar.” They had warrants out to arrest him if he danced and when he went on TV shows they would only shoot him from the waist up. Like I said, “you have lots to learn.” 👑

I was driving south from Seattle through Portland in 1976. At that time I-5 crested a small hill and you could see the freeway and a very long off ramp. I couldn’t BELIEVE the number of cars packing the right 2 lanes and the ramp. MILES of cars, not moving. Didn’t know what was going on so switched radio channels. Elvis was at the Colosseum….I had no idea, the Stone Age and everything. There were a lot of trees but you could still see all of the streets that were packed. On the radio the only thing you heard was , ‘Elvis has left the building’. The concert had been over for a while and still the people came. This announcement was repeated quite a few times. Until I saw all of those people I hadn’t understood why they made the announcement. They did it so people would understand that he was gone rather than storming the area. It was amazing and I wasn’t even really there

From the time he began, I listened to every single song he sang....I suppose that I am telling my age, however, he was unlike any other performer ever to grace a stage! Automatically the world knew that they were witnessing pure genius! Nobody before or after ELVIS had the charisma, sheer talent, or ability to captivate an audience like him! He was THE original, at his best at all times! We knew that we were experiencing greatness, and NO ONE would ever compare to him!!! I was along for the ride from the beginning! How spectacular this man truely was! Unless you saw him live, then you can't possibly understand!!! He was and still is the GOAT! And he recorded almost 800 songs, went to the Army when he was called up, and made 31 movies! All of the while performing concerts, live appearances, and doing Vegas! He was, is, and always will be THE KING OF ROCK and ROLL! No one will ever compare to ELVIS PRESLEY!

Elvis was born in North Mississippi and raised there and in Memphis. This area is the home of the American blues and southern gospel music. It was also at a time when people listened to the Grand Ole Opry from Nashville on the radio every Saturday night - so Elvis was just a product of what he knew, what he grew up with. He melded it all together (blues, gospel and country music) and they called it rock n roll. He didn't steal anyone's music. That is laughable and people don't know what they are talking about.

BRO, Legend says that the note ELVIS received while he was performing was some fan's telephone number. In the light of his only daughter's tragic death, there is a "studio enhanced" song that seems befitting. ELVIS had recorded "Where No One Stands Alone" some years before he passed. Through the modern miracles of studio engineering, Lisa Marie's voice was added to ELVIS'S original vocal. And it works! We can never know what tomorrow brings. THANK YOU!

For years I never knew what a "truck patch" was. Always assumed it was the back of a truck. Turns out it's a private patch of land where you grew vegetables for your own use, as opposed to growing them for the market. "Stealing watermelons out of my truck patch" meant someone was stealing the veggies you were growing for yourself, not the back of a truck, LOL. Who knew?

You mentioned the bass player - Elvis' band during this period had some of the best musicians of that time. The bass player, Jerry Scheff, is one of the best, he's played on a lot of great stuff during the years, including the Door's last album with Jim Morrison and the lead guitarist, James Burton, is one of the most influential guitarists of all time. The drummer is amazing. His back-up singers were the Sweet Inspirations which for a while included Cissie Houston (Whitney's Mom).

Elvis was probably reading the names of any celebrities in the audience, which there were always several, so that he could introduce them to the audience. He did it at all of his Las Vegas performances, & probably anywhere else he was performing. It was a matter of courtesy & Elvis was always a polite Southern gentleman.

In that era, it was an age of legendary song writers. Elvis performed some 700 songs. He was a musician who played great rhythm guitar and piano and boy could HE SING. Legendary sought after rich baritone. ZERO songswere stolen. EVERY SONG WRITER GOT PAID, and paid really well. Yes -- Including the black song writers that sold their music to Elvis to perform. Lieber and Stoller were two Jewish guys that wrote most of Elvis best material from the early 50s. Not a SINGLE STOLEN SONG. Most big stars had songs written for them. It was considered an honor to have an Elvis or a Frank Sinatra or a Nat King Cole perform a song that you wrote.

Holy Cannoli! You have a 109K subscribers? WOW 😱😁 WELL DONE 👏👏👏👏🙌💃🙌💃🌹🌹💐💐 Congratulations 🎉🎆🎈🎉🎆🎈 As for the note: Elvis got that from one of his fans in the audience earlier on in this concert- during his "Love Me" performance. He shakes hands and kisses some fans during that performance and it was one of the lady fans that Elvis showed some love to that handed him the note. Then during his "Sweet Caroline" performance from this same concert, Elvis retrieves the note from his belt and holds it up and gives a nod before tucking it back into his belt and going on with the song and performance. Also: Elvis's band during this time period was the TCB ⚡ band. TCB ⚡ stood for "Taking Care Of Business" and the ⚡ stood for "In A Flash". The guys in Elvis's family & friend circle would get their own TCB ⚡ necklace from Elvis and the ladies in his circle of family & friends would get a TLC necklace- TLC stood for Tender Loving Care. Loved 💖💖💖💖 this reaction! Thank you so very much! TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & that goes for one & all here as well 💕

No matter how many times I see this I still love it, on every level. And yeah as a musician myself and played in bands a whole bunch in my life, I just love the vibe of this whole TCB band. Fantastic. You watch them over several performances and you start to get the idea plus there's a whole lot of rehearsal videos out there that you can watch and it's just like any real band rehearsal. And the audio isn't any good and it's not a live show, it's a performance rehearsal and you get to see Elvis working on arrangements and everybody in the band interacting and then you start to understand why they are so good on stage. Sure there were differences at times but this was one big happy family when it came time to just play.

Every move he made was a command, or a direction to someone on that stage, mostly, his drummer, he dueled with him all the time, challenging him to keep up with him. Putting the mic in his mouth was him messing around with his sound guys, so get your mind outta the gutter! lol Like they said, He was a ball of energy, set to music! And he loved to play around with the band. They said they never knew what he was going to do next with a song, it depended on his mood!

Hey Polo, you have to see early Elvis, before they refused to film him from the waist down.

Elvis has been around for a long time. To realize how notoriously revolutionary he was and to discover a time when he was the first mainstream artist to incorporate energetic dance performance to the mainstream, checkout the iconic Jailhouse Rock video from '57.

Please watch Elvis and the black community. Also Baz interview with Mr. Sam Bell, Elvis' childhood friend. Both are very eye opening.

One of my fav performances ever. Saw the live in concert world tours twice when they came to aus and this song was so good in person with the live band and vocalists

Check out ‘ reconsider Baby ‘ from 1960. His version of ‘ tomorrow is a long Time’ that will blow your mind. And a very special song called ‘ I’m Leavin’

Elvis always gave a great performance. That said, for me, the iconic version of this song was sung by Tony Joe White.
