Filipino's love donuts because growing up we are exposed to a lot of freshly baked goodies. in every neighborhood there's a lot of bakery, it is like in every corner of the streets just like 7-11. We have local donuts which we love and most of these baked goodies are sweet too that's why Donuts are popular in our country as we love baked sweets. You should try local bakery in one of the neighborhood outside BGC because those are really freshly baked and the real thing than the one being sold in the mall.

We have a condo in BGC. 5th Ave between 26th and 28th Streets are closed on weekends for pop up markets and kids activities.

Manila is also a "western city" in the sense that it is located at the west of the Metro Manila region (now NCR). Beyond that area is NOT Manila anymore. In this case, BGC is NOT in Manila. It's in Taguig. Both in NCR but each a city on its own.

2 times a year, I go to BGC. I have to commute by bus for 4 hours (1 way). I just spend a whole day walking on side walks. . Walk till I get tired and hungry. Eat and rest at an affordable fast food chain. Once rejuvenated, walk again. After having a dinner, I do final short walk before leaving. (I don't go to BGC Malls as we already have malls in our province, what we don't have are wide side walks with lots of trees.) The BGC vibe is therapeutic for me. Enjoy your visit at BGC and in other tourists' sites of the Philippines.

Summer time in the Philippines is from April to June but the best time is December to March when the temperature is cool

Manila is the only city in the world where you can find an old Spanish town (Intramuros) , the biggest Chinatown in the world (Binondo), a Koreatown (Malate,), an Italian, Venice like Grand Canal complete w/ a canal n gondola, n soon a Paris like area across the Pasig river like the Latin Quarter along the Seine river , but still on going restoration....n of course the American like city of NY or San Francisco in BGC, Makati, Eastwood City etc.....this is why its more fun in the Philippines....

Correction.. Venice Grand Canal Mall area is NOT in Manila. It's in Taguig. And no, "Metro Manila" and "Manila" are NOT the same thing. "Metro Manila" (formally the NCR) is a region. "Manila" is just one of many cities in it. In fact, Manila is merely 4% of the NCR -- bear that in mind before calling everything here as Manila.

Thank you, kabayan, for indirectly correctly this vlogger. Indeed, it is WRONG to call BGC as "manila" because BGC is in TAGUIG. Filipinos should stop tolerating all these foreigners not being diligent nor respectful always misnaming their city location. Manila is Manila. Taguig is Taguig. Both are in NCR but each a city on its own. BGC is NOT In Manila. BGC is in TAGUIG.

@@amandalindberg8300 That is not true. Words have definitions. That's how language works. NCR (formerly, "Metro Manila") is defined as a region per PD 824 /1396. "Manila" is defined by its charter (RA 409). "Manila" refers only to the capital city at the west coast. Everything beyond it (e.g. San Juan, Pasay, P'que, Caloocan etc) is not manila anymore. Learn your geography!

@@mocabe01 nah BGC is in taguig city yes which is outside of "Manila City" geographically but is Inside NCR aka "Metro Manila" or "kalakhang maynila" "manila" isn't always the city of manila. it can also refer to as ncr itself. if you want to be specific then just say "city of manila" to refer to the capital.

Honestly, I was in stitches. If anyone has seen 22 Jump Street you’ll get my response to the Jeff name. I’m not sure how Jo and Jeff sound the same though 😅
