On 6/20 I departed Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International airport on a Southwest 737 MAX 8 to Las Vegas.
It was an average three hour and 30 minute flight with a bumpy arrival into Las Vegas.
Once I landed in Las Vegas, I went to In-N-Out and got myself a bite to eat, I spent the rest of the day in the hotel room resting for flight sim Friday
First thing Friday morning, I got my registration for the upcoming flight sim Expo, at 11:20. My group departed for the Las Vegas tower and tracon facility.
My group got behind-the-scenes access of some of the most talented air traffic controllers in the world.
After getting back on our bus towards the Rio Hotel, where flights sim Expo was being hosted I walked into the ballroom to catch the last minutes of the bluebird simulation seminar.
Later that Friday evening, I met up with all of my friends that I would be spending time with in Las Vegas at the dedicated meet and greet area.
Thankfully, I’m a Flight Sim Association captain one of the benefits of being a captain is having a captain dedicated dinner at flight sim expo.
After a great dinner, I went back to my room and got a good rest.
I woke up Saturday morning earlier than usual thanks to Will H. the LAX crew base manager for Southwest Virtual Airlines.
Will, let me in early and gave me exclusive access of Southwest Virtual Airlines booth. I also spent that time to interview Will and Matt G.
The Southwest Virtual Airlines team was super approachable Answering all the great questions and welcoming all the new pilots
Right next to the Southwest Virtual Airlines booth was a full 737 cockpit where I landed into Ontario with Low visibility and received my Cat III certification.
I had the opportunity to talk with Max at WinWing and I recorded a great video of the WinWing booth with all of their great products on display.
I got a video of the Fokker 100 demonstration at just flight, the 100 will be releasing in the next few months and I’m super excited for that aircraft to be delivered.

Raul was super nice and supportive of me and I think him for his kindness.

The main highlight of my Flight Sim Expo 2024 experience was that I won both of the Microsoft flight simulator landing challenges, both Airbus and Boeing.
I got to chat with chewy94 and everybody else at Microsoft flight simulator.
Because I won, I will receive the Thursmaster Boeing and Airbus pack.
I had an awesome time talking with the MK Studios team.
MK Studios was amazing!!
I talked with Lucas, one of the MK studios developers for over 45 minutes about all of their awesome airports.
I learned a lot talking to MK Studios. They were very informative and MK Studios extremely talented.
I asked Matthew at MK Studios for an interview and he was super excited. We had a great conversation that I was lucky to record.
To top my flights and expo 2024 experience, I visited the flight Sim Studios booth and got to fly the unreleased Boeing 727F around Las Vegas
I went back to my room for the last time woke up the next morning and boarded a southwest 737-800 back to Atlanta.
