In this video I will be showing you are around garden after 6 inches of rain in one week! Part of my garden is flooded and a few plants are dying. But I will also show you a few great things in my garden this week. The Jackmanii Clematis is loving life! And the Astilbe are just starting to bloom. Penstemon and catmint look great right now too. I also planted up a new part sun/shade planter with Elephant Ear, Dichondra Silver Falls, Perilla Magilla, and new guinea impatiens. Hope you enjoy!
Hello fellow gardening gals and guys! Welcome to my channel, Serenity Now Garden. My name is Jeanie and I make videos of my gardens, current landscaping projects, plant hauls, serene garden tours, garden ASMR, gardening tips, gardening how to videos and more. I mainly focus on ornamental gardening using perennials, but I also plant bulbs, annuals, cold hardy succulents, shrubs, and trees including some native plants as well. I will be diving into raised bed vegetable gardening, indoor seed starting, and planting a small orchard in the near future too! I live in central Minnesota in USDA gardening zone 5a. Join me as I expand my gardens and create new garden designs. My favorite part of gardening is creating garden rooms and secret gardens. Gardening is such a rewarding hobby to have. You can visit my garden blog at www.serenitynowgarden.com. I have been gardening for over 20 years and I still have a lot to learn. Come along for the ride and hopefully we can learn from each other. Thank you and happy gardening!

We have flooding in the back yard about once a year in the spring. The hosta are fine as long as they can keep their tops above water.

Sorry about the flooding :( It is frustrating after all that work and nurturing. We have been dealing with rabbits trying to munch on our zinnias.

Thanks, Scott :) It is frustrating. I am currently working on a raised bed garden design though, that will help next year. Can't wait to share it. What's up with all the rabbits this year, lol? Is it just me or are there like triple or quadruple the amount of rabbits compared to an average year?

Are you going to post a video of you planting the planter? I always enjoy those videos as well! They inspired me to do 2 planters by our front door this year and last year. This year we did all blue and white flowers in them.

Sorry, I didn't film it. Your planters sound gorgeous. I used Regal Shield Elephant Ear, Dichondra Silver Falls, New Guinea impatiens, and Perilla Magilla. So far this is my favorite planter I have done. :) Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have five Quick Fire and 3 Tiny Quick Fire Hydrangeas. I am trying to creat a hedge as well. 😊 I had bad luck with some of my Hostas this year due to vole or moles damaging the roots.

I got that at Menards for only $100. It was a couple years ago . Lowes has a similar arbor too. Thanks for watching.
