Can I give you a video idea? A lot of people are not willing to put a lot of time into learning German, but what are the consequences? Sure it will take you longer to grasp the language but what does that even mean exactly? It would be interesting if you made a timeline video, going through how much effort is required to reach a goal in a certain amount of time. If you spend an hour and a half on German every day it will take you this amount of time to reach the school, etc. This would be really useful as the new year has started and a lot of people plan to learn German, and although they may understand it is a time-consuming task they might not fully grasp how much effort is required to reach that goal. Thanks and I apologize for mistakes because I talk into my phone

One thing I've found helpful for moral is to give myself an attaboy whenever I successfully use my German skills unexpectedly. For example I was recently able to read and understand a paragraph long post on an internet forum without using a dictionary or machine translation. It's not really a goal you'd set yourself, but being able to do it was a nice confirmation that I'm actually making progress. For listening skills, one thing you can do is play video games in your target language. They often have spoken dialog with subtitles. Being able to record yourself playing and play back the record should help too. Recently I've been trying the ARD Reisen channel. It's more "TV announcer" type language, but it's better for learners because it's more clear than conversion you'd hear in movies etc. Also, if your goal is to go to a German university, it might be a good idea to brush up on the jargon used in the subject you're planning to study. You might be able to have a conversation in a bar, but you won't get far in chemistry class if you don't know the word for "molecule".

I don´t know your name but, thank you! Seriously, thank you. Your 3 hr video on learning German came to a man who discovered his soul is from Spain, even though genetically I´m Irish raised as a monolingual American. I quit my job after six months of beginning Spanish to master Spanish. I fell completely in love with all things Spain. So, when my Irish husband, two years into it began to offer resistence to Spanish because of German (another story), I was faced with being forced to learn German. I couldn´t! Whereas Spanish came, like a soulquest fulfilled, German was impossible. It was so because it´s TAUGHT WRONG! YOU, You Herr Antrim, kicked the door open and said, Go for it. Now I can and I humbly THANK YOU!

"Which resources are the best?" Sorry, not this channel. It's full of mistakes, awkward grammar and idioms that are not used like that in Germany. If You really want to learn a language, always learn from a native speaker if You can.
