I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I had Covid last 2 weeks of December then, long haul Covid / intense migraine headaches the entire month of January. My fever lasted 3 weeks and I lost 20 pounds. I was diagnosed by my dermatologist. My hair started falling out the 2nd week I had Covid probably due to not being able to eat and losing weight w/in 2 wks. 2 wks ago, my hair started falling out and I've been saving it too, handfuls of it. I got PRF hair treatment just on the crown of my head 1 wk ago, baby hairs on top of my head are awake now. BUT, the rest of my hair is falling out like crazy!!! U just made me feel better. Even though my dermatologist said it's temporary, it will grow back, you still feel like shit. I bought a red light panel (2 different rays by platinum) which helped resolve my migraines and stopped my Covid cough (you get your Vit D from it too). I noticed that the red light therapy helped my hair from falling out but, it made my melasma worse even if I used sunscreen. Basically, when I stopped the red light, the hair loss went into overdrive. I did Viviscal along w/ prenatal pills and it stopped. But when I did my PRF treatment, you can't take certain meds / supplements, etc. So, now I'm at this stage. No matter how much people are telling me to stop stressing out how can you not. Your giving me hope, you made me laugh and cry at the same time. Thank you for posting this video!!!

Hey! This video happen to show up in my feed. I am so happy to know I wasn't the only one that lost a lot their hair after covid. I had covid last year may 2021 and 2 months later I started to lose clumps and I mean clumps. I was so scared to wash or even touch my hair. I went to doctors and dermatologists.. I was told I had teleogen effluvium.. I was also told that after covid a lot of people had complained of this same thing. To make a long story short I started using Bondiboost HG shampoo and conditioner, upped my iron, started talking gnc women's live well vitapak, and made sure to keep my circulation going on my scalp. I literally thought I was going to go bald. I cried and cried and felt hopeless. My hair is now back, but coming in white with the growth in the front and on top of my head... no matter the color, I am still thankful for any growth. Please don't give up, anyone that reads this, there is hope for sure!

EVERYTHING you said in this video that has happened to you has happened to me as well. First of December 2021 I lost my nephew in a semi truck accident which was totally devastating. Then I had covid the end of December. I too have lost 75% of my hair. I have been using Divi for two months and have finally started seeing new hair growth. I will be adding the four things you mentioned plus the shampoo and conditioner and some of the supplements that I am not already taking. One supplement that I have been taking that I don’t think you mentioned is extra zinc. I have had to cut my long hair to chin length because it was so thin. My hair is the consistency of cotton candy. It is heartbreaking, embarrassing and scary. I do not want to go anywhere because I feel so ugly. I am sure you are struggling, as am I, with trying to move on from the loss of your loved one which is so hard to do. I feel like I am still in the mourning stage but need to somehow keep it out of my mind so my hair will grow back. It is such a struggle.😭

I watched this video like a month and a half ago. My hair started falling out in the middle of August. It’s not the end of November and it’s stopped shedding. I can run my hand through my hair and not get eight or nine hairs, only one or two. It was so bad to where you can literally see my scalp. I probably lost a good 40-50% of my hair. If you’re reading this, and you’re going through this, it’ll stop and it’ll come back.

I'm watching this in tears right now. You have no idea how badly I needed to find this video and read these comments. I had covid on Christmas and was sick for about a month with really bad pneumonia from it. I started noticing more hair when I brushed but a switch went off about 3 weeks ago and I was noticing a TON of hair (just like what you showed) coming out. I have long thick hair and it unfortunately, really has become part of my identity. I have cried every single day, have had a pit in my stomach and to be totally honest, have gone almost a week without showering because of the intense traumatic experience that showering now poses. I'm going to come back to this video every time I'm having a particularly hard day to remind myself that there IS an end to this. Honestly, thank you for posting this. I genuinely think you helped save my life.

I’ve been there Ashley. My hair was the only think I always liked about my appearance. It was my identity at some point. It is devastating having it stripped and having it happen so fast. Trust me when I tell you I was in that dark place and just months later I’m feeling back to my old self. I promise you, it gets better. I know right now it doesn’t feel like that, but hold on tight. You aren’t alone.

Thank you for this!!! I can SO relate to the points you touched on about having hair all over your clothes and having to check everywhere when you were cooking!! It was awful! Also the extreme change in texture. I, like so Many others who have commented here, Truly felt that my hair was hair was a HUGE part of my identity ( I was a big haired 80s chick who should have purchased stock in Aquanet. Lol) . I had to reframe the way that I thought about myself. I flipped it around and and decided that this was the universe's way universe is way of telling me that I needed to concentrate what was on the inside and not focus so much on the outside. (Sounds great in theory, no? Not so easy to practice though). It's good to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that there are so many other people who are experiencing the same thing. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!!! It helps to know that I was not crying alone...

What hugely sucks is that so many people don’t understand how losing your hair like this so quickly can shatter your mental health & confidence instantly. I’m always reminded of the quote from Fleabag when she says *“Hair is everything! We wish it wasn’t, so we could actually think about something else occasionally, but it is. Its the difference between a good day & a bad day. We’re meant to think that it’s a symbol of power, that it’s a symbol of fertility, some people are exploited for it and it pays your bills! Hair is everything!”* thank you for helping me feel less alone in my hair journey, it really means a lot❤

Wow! Incredible to see we are not alone.. I cried everyday too just like you and my family and friends kept saying it's stupid because it's "just hair" and they can't see the difference but we do when it's 50% of our hair! People are trying to make us feel bad by telling us it's superficial but hair is so much more than any other physical aspect of a person! It's part of our identity and shows a person's health, which helps making them look better... It makes me feel validated to see all these comments.

I have lost about 50% of my hair also... My hair is long below my bra strap, I told my primary doctor what is happening, my husband and him laughed and said just cut your hair.... I went to the dermatologist and she said cutting your hair doesn't keep it from falling out... I wish people took it more serious also... I am being treated for stress induced fall out telogen effluvium....which can be Covid related.

I also went through TE; but not from covid; just stress and an ED. It was hell. If you are watching this please please please listen to her when she says to stop stressing. I thought I was listening when my hair started to fall out in late September/early october 2021, but I wasn't. I was still letting stress run my life. I was alone and in college and I just thought that I could handle it myself. Spoiler alert: I could not. It was honestly one of the most traumatic things I could imagine happening to me at the ripe old age of 20. I really felt like I was watching myself physically and mentally crumble into nothingness. Hair is a very emotionally important thing for women- and as someone whose whole identity was wrapped into being that girl with the super thick, sun-kissed, waist-length hair, I really felt like I was losing myself. In a way- I was, because I was letting the stress of the hair loss compound upon what I was already experiencing. I was rarely happy during the time. How could I be, when I was quite literally falling apart, and felt that it was all my own fault? Basically; please do not do what I did. Namely- ignore it or think that you can handle it yourself. You are human. You need, and most importantly, you DESERVE to be supported and loved, especially when you are going through something traumatic. That is the only way you are going to get through this, (along with eating enough, resting enough and replenishing nutrient stores.) I was so embarrassed by my hair loss that I didn't see a doctor about it until March. Luckily for me- I started to get my butt into gear in December to get back on track nutritionally and emotionally. By the time they did my bloodwork in March- my panel was perfect. To the biggest relief I have felt in my entire life- my hair stopped falling out a few weeks ago (April 2022). When braiding my hair, I sometimes wonder how much I would still have if I had just advocated for myself. Even though I was blessed with very thick hair and have no obvious bald spots, I lost about half of my volume and 1000% of my self confidence. I am working on all of that stuff now- and I know that I'm on the right path, but it is a difficult journey. If there is anyone reading this going through a similar situation, I just want you to know that you matter. You are not alone. I know it feels endless, but you will get through this. I did, and I am rooting for you to do the same.

For anyone who had a relatively mild case of Covid but still experienced hair loss afterwards I strongly recommend getting your ferritin (iron storage) tested. Even if it is technically just within the “normal ranges” low ferritin can cause hair loss and Covid drains your ferritin! This is exactly what happened to me….it apparently gets missed by a lot of doctors who aren’t specialists in hair loss and just test your iron levels. I never realised this before and only found out why this was happening after my second bout of Covid!Sharing my experience here in the hope that it may help others avoid this/get a diagnosis earlier

@@suzannevegancultleader8509 Yeah, not the same issue for everyone but this is just one of the things that Covid can do that causes hair loss. I didn’t have blood tests when I first had Covid - it was only the second time round that it got picked up that it was causing a sudden dramatic drop in my Ferritin to the point where I was deficient. Either way, good to get blood tests to double check that there aren’t any deficiencies causing the hair loss or exacerbating it

Thank you for making this video! After testing Covid positive in August and being extremely sick for over a month I started experiencing hair loss in October.. November and December was the worst! I also kept my hair to keep track; I think it’s a smart thing to do.. I thought I was going to get to a point of shave my head and I was OK with that however I was so afraid of what other people were going to say or think.. After having anxiety, depression and insomnia because of this hair loss I knew I had to take control of my life.. A day before New Years I chopped 14 inches of hair into a bob.. Best decision ever!! I wanted to welcome the new year with a fresh positive start.. It was such a weight lifted off my shoulders.. I started meditating and taking many of the vitamins you mentioned.. End of January I can see little baby hairs growing all over my head.. Right now baby hairs are about an inch and a half long and it’s giving me so much volume! Im loving the volume..It will grow back! It was one of the most traumatizing experiences I’ve been through.. Specially at the beginning not knowing why it was happening, it really caught me off guard.. BUT that’s life and you have to roll with the punches.. Make the best of it, learn from it and know that it’s just a season and it will get better! 💓

Your story is practically identical to mine. I also had the cooflu in Aug, started losing massive amounts of hair in October. Nov/Dec were the worst. Lost about 75% of my hair volume. The shedding finally stopped in Jan (lasted almost EXACTLY 3 months), and the re-growth started shortly thereafter. I can tell that the bare spots are filling back in, and I’m starting to get SOME of my hair volume back (especially on top). My hair has always grown pretty fast, so I’m hoping that it won’t take too long to get my full volume back. But I’ve read that it can take anywhere from 6 to 12 (or even 18) months. The young woman who made this video is correct when she says it’s a traumatic experience when you’re going through it! I felt like I was a cancer chemo patient and was wondering if I would have to shave my head (to stop the matting & severe tangling), and/or purchase a wig. Thank God the shedding ended after about 90 days and the re-growth has begun! I finally feel hopeful again, no longer traumatized!

I experienced chronic telogen effluvium and I had a hair puncture done and he said six months to six years. It took six years for me to get my hair back. Then upon hearing news of my father’s cancer which made a lot of stress, my hair started to fall out again. Any time I am under stress my hair falls out. It is the weakest point in your body that is my body. I have struggled with this for 23 years. Each time I lose it it gets thinner. I decided to start my own Wig business. I am now in full beautiful human hair wigs that look just like my own hair did so as no one really knows except my clients. I have tried everything. I am extremely healthy and very holistic minded. I take extremely good care of my body. So all I can say is be prepared. I’ve lived in hope of it would come back... and honestly it did come back three times. But then when I lost my sister, my husband lost his job. Well that’s when it all started again and it really never came back. But I think this young lady for her knowledge. God bless all who are going through this stay strong. As you get older you realize it’s really not the most important thing on this planet. Knowing the Lord Jesus and knowing that he died for our sins is more important. Our eternity is more important than external looks.

Thank you for this video! I had this happen to me many many years ago while I was in middle school. Yeah middle school is hard enough and when you lose your hair it takes it to another level! Mine was due to an extended illness where I had a fever for a long time and just the trauma to my body from that illness. My mom took me to a salon and they gave me a short haircut because my hair was just so thin at the bottom and became unhealthy. Looking back it was super cute but at the time I just wanted my long hair back. Hair grows back but that journey was hard! So glad you are on the mend. You are beautiful no matter what!!

The thing that helped put things into perspective was I was grateful I was not loosing my hair due to cancer. Those dear folks that go thru that due to cancer are precious. I am blessed to now be healthy post cv. My son almost died from cv at the same time I had it. We were in separate hospitals and I couldn't go see him when the doctor called and told me he wasn't going to make it thru the night! All I could do was pray like a warrior and Jesus saved my son, and me as well, Praise God! .. I am now otherwise healthy but it is still traumatizing for me and my son to loose our hair. My collection of dead hair was the size of a California dessert tumbleweed... and I finally threw it out. My temples are naked, the back of my head is so sparce. I didn't cut off my remainder of hair; I just couldn't. I bought a wig and wear it out and to work. My hair texture is feeling less-dead and I see fine grey hairs growing back in patches. I'm hanging in there. I am so grateful for your tips about how you are dealing with this. I am already taking some vitamins but I'll add a couple of your tips as well. thanks again. God bless all of you.

@@catrinrhodes4582 Hi, happy to report there are small hairs coming in...growing around my temples and forehead hairline that are now very wavy and are different texture, and grey. About 3 inches long. Bald spot on back of head is gone. I didn't lose all my hair but at least 70% of thickness is gone. Feels weird. Hair line receded around temples pretty bad. I wear wig to work, but on weekends don't wear it now because I clamp my hair up. It doesn't look bad. I got one haircut a year later since hair fell out! With my thin hair that was left, I kinda comb it forward a little to cover temple area and then pull it up and clamp it in ponytail. it is growing in again. No bald spots anymore. LOL. I'm thankful to be alive, and that God saved me and my son. We refused the jab(s) though. I've researched so much about those, that I said HELL NO. Sorry you are experiencing side effects. Unfortunately there are extremely serious (even deadly) side effects being reported, but mainstream media is forbidden to cover it. Very sad. I wish you health... hopefully your hair will come back. I've heard folks who got jabbed should definitely take good vitamins every day inuding Biotin, vitD3, folic acid. Etc.... but I'm not a doctor... just passing along that bit of what I've researched in medical journals. You can research for yourself what "informed" doctors and immunologists have found. You'll need to dig for truth because they want "truth" hidden unfortunately.. Anyway, take care and I wish you well.

I’m so happy to have come across your video and the support from the comments as well. It’s a bit of relief to me. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Seeing my hair fall out so rapidly really caused my mental state to deteriorate. I’ve crying every day because of my hair loss, being able to see my scalp now and afraid to even touch my air or scalp. I have the support of my husband but he just doesn’t understand how it really affects someone who’s had thick, full, long and healthy hair. So much so that hair ties would pop or clips couldn’t hold it. Now, I barely have enough to hold in my hand. I’ve scheduled with my dermatologist. I’m requested full panel labs just to make sure nothing else is going on. I’ll definitely start what you’ve recommended. And keep positive.

So proud of you beautiful soul, for being receptive to gods grace, for sharing your experience (s) and guidance for others. As you say your mental health is challenged to say the least as you say but the sooner we surrender wholeheartedly without feeling guilt for feeling what we feel and realise that this too shall pass and to look forward with full faith like you did and reward ourselves with love the growth starts in all areas. Your doing amazing and looking gorgeous as always. The hair will continue to grow and flourish just as you will with each experience and is. I found listening to Abraham Hicks helped tremendously whilst I went through my trauma and experiences and provide peace of mind; helping me to shift and look forward with true faith which is difficult at first. But like you say we need to embrace and stay cheerful and realise this is not going to be our present forever....you get my gist. Keep going, keep being you in your authentic self gorgeous soul, keep joyous! 💫🌹💫

My only worry remaining personally for myself is how I'm going to regrow my hair at my age, I'm in my early 40's ... well i guess all i can do is believe it will recover, it's only been a month for me, and it is bad. Beautiful long hair has always been one of my most important, desired and feminine things and it is beyond emotional and stressful loosing what you love so much, you are so right it does mess badly with your emotional and mental healt! Thank you so much for making this video. (And to all the people sharing their stories in the comments.) I think I’m around 8-10 weeks in and have lost at least half my hair at this point. It used to be the only thing about my physical appearance that I was proud of, so the loss has been pretty devastating-I used to look like the lass from Brave, but now you can see right through to my scalp. I feel a reassured to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I’m a bit scared to know that it’s probably going to still fall out for a while more (It feels a bit impossible to lose any more at this point, I’m sure others have felt this too), but knowing there’s an end to it and it’s not forever makes it SO much more manageable mentally. I’ve been trying to look for positives, even though I don’t feel very positive. I’m pretty sure mine has been triggered because of my ED, and it really has been my biggest push in recovery. I probably wouldn’t have changed otherwise. I’ve upped my calories, my protein, started taking vitamins and supplements, hopefully the things that I broke can be fixed.🤞🏻

Im in the same situation, thanks for this video. Here’s something I’ve started doing that might resonate with some of you, I say daily positive affirmations about my hair - ‘my hair is growing thick and strong, my hair is abundant, my hair follicles are healthy and productive, my hair is long, thick and shiny, my hair is my crowning glory’ - I say this like a mantra on my daily walk, I try and feel the emotion of having beautiful, thick healthy hair. Since doing this I’ve noticed it’s stopped shedding and I have l o fine baby hair coming through. I don’t know if it’s because of the affirmations but I’m going to keep doing it as it stops me stressing about it so much.

Thank you for doing this video! I started taking Betaine HCI with pepsin before each meal and I'm pretty sure that helped. It will help your body absorb and utilize protein you eat, which is needed for healthy hair. Also, it's so hard to do but you have to accept what is happening. I've had very thin hair my whole life so when it started falling out like crazy I told myself that if it gets too bad that I would get a wig and never have another bad hair day! After I accepted what was happening and quit stressing about it, I started losing less hair.

Thanks so much for posting this video and describing your journey. TE came upon me so fast I had no idea what the *heck* was going on. Somehow I found you and it all makes sense. Lots of stress/loss/fever the past year and a half - but mainly I think it was from having a 102 fever in Nov '21 for about 4-5 days that did it. My dad died, lost my car, frozen shoulder...lots of grief, etc. And now that I'm feeling great on the inside my hair is shedding like crazy. If it wasn't so unsettling it would be funny. I try to laugh and keep my vibe high with visualization and prayer - telling my follicles and new hair "You can do this!" But at night it's hard to sleep and just let it all go. So glad to realize I'm not alone! Hair does grow back and in time we will all be full headed again. Wishing everyone many blessings to come!

Omg. Thank you for sharing this! The visual with the hair you lost was so comforting!!! I’ve been dealing with this for legit almost a year. Had blood work done- Dr said normal. I think he’s full of it. Just made an appt to see derm. I’m 99 percent sure this is what I’m going through tho. Had a major stressor x 10 and after researching telogen effluvium it made all the sense in the world. What’s crazy, and I saw it in one of the pic you’d shown, that when u lose the hair- after the shower and it just pulls out in strands, it’s strange because it’s like clumps of strands. If I pick them apart, what looks like 3 hairs is actually like 10. You described texture- YES! It got kind of wiry and fuzzy. The diameter of each hair completely changed. All the hair changed. Like my strands are baby fine and so so fragile. Good lord it’s so horrible. I think about all of the horrible things that happen to people and How blessed I am in so many ways and I feel guilty for being so upset about this, but like you said it completely destroys your mental and emotional wellness. It’s totally devastating and it’s scary. As a dude you can shave your hard and it’s no big deal but as a woman with this thick hair and BAM… it’s horrifying and has taken such a mental toll on me. I’m trying to relax because I know that stress won’t help. But like you said when people tell you not to stress you want to punch em in the face. I just wanna say thank you so much again. this has given me a lot of comfort today as it’s the worst it’s been in my whole entire life and I just want to be able to see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow yah know. ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Thank you so much for this video and yes I have experienced this and still dealing with this issue. I thought I was done with this bs after going through cancer 2 times, in which I had to shave my head both times and wear wigs too. I had sent you video to others who have experienced this as well. Next month, I plane to at least start with the liquid vitamins since the way my body has been left after cancer, I have a hard time with absorption. Again thank you and wishing you a happy recovery of this. One more thing, it just peeves me to no end on how the medical community is or doesn’t even want reactions to be reported on having COVID or if you have been vaccinated, etc. So it is not like they haven’t keep us all on high alert with the fear mongering and now that we have had the sickness we have to deal with this as well. Thanks again…

You are such a sweetie. Making this video takes a LOT of bravery. I’m so sorry to know of your father’s passing. It is a HUGE deal for a woman to lose her hair. Please don’t feel bad for being so upset about the hair loss. A women’s beauty and femininity is connected to her hair. It is very traumatic. I love that you embraced wigs. Although, one should be mindful that your scalp needs to breath for hair to grow, so you should be sure to remove it at night or when home alone. Thank you so much for making this video

HOLY SMOKES I STUMBLED ON THIS VIDEO AND I CANNOT THANK YOU ENUF FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO….like someone else said in these comments, I was stunned when you showed the bag of your hair!…… I got a milder case of covid in late July and then I had surgery (yes, under anaesthesia )a few weeks afterward….then I noticed I was losing a lot of hair afterward ( not at all as much as you… so i am thankful for that…)but it certainly was enough to cause big concern and depression for me. I consulted my doctor and had blood work drawn to rule out any medical problems (all blood work came out good, thank god, but why was i losing so much hair? )Like you, i didnt look forward to washing my hair or brushing it either…I was finding my hair everywhere! Like you, My clothes were covered, my bed, and i was very cautious while preparing meals …my hair was noticably EVERYWHERE!😩 I went to my hairdresser and had her put in hair extensions to “cover” my thinning hair. (my hairdresser is actually the one who told me about surgery and covid being big reasons people get thinning hair. I have always taken biotin and vitamin D3 and i am thinking that that may be the reason my hair loss has not been as extreme as yours seems to have been.. I am currently waiting to see if my hair starts regrowth soon (Im told it takes a few months for regrowth to start ) i am armed with wigs if need be, but i took the extensions route first.. I am so grateful for this video, I thought I was alone on this crazy journey…I am 67 years young and hair loss at any age is traumatizing…trust me on that one! Thank you again so much!!❤❤ Heather A-C

Your energy and the way you talk about your experience is so soothing to me. I'm a 20 yo female and I started losing hair about 2 months ago. I was in an abusive relationship for the whole of 2020, broke up with him beginning of 2021, dealt with restraining orders, debt, and emotional trauma from the relationship and then right when I got out of the thick of it, my hair has been falling out. This video has been kind of a beackon of hope for me and I just want to say I'm really appreciative that you took the time to talk about this sensitive subject. Thank you.

Thank you so much! Great advice... I had covid, my mother got diagnosed with cancer and then BOOM! I cherish my long blonde hair, which I have carefully looked after for years to grow, just gone. Talk about trauma from your trauma! But you're right, you just have to come to terms with it and know it will return over time. I definitely will be trying some of the products you mentioned, and I hope your hair journey is going well!

I was a hairstylist for 45 years. I would get asked many times over the years about thinning hair and I would always start with "don't worry unless it becomes notably thinner." And #2 "stress and worry won't help." Generally hair loss can relate to stress and thyroid. I have recently been doing protein cycling so likely I haven't been getting quite enough of that on top of everything else. I was always the girl with the huge mane of thick hair and it's helped me to hear my words come back to me. I've had plenty of stress this last year and I had to bouts of covid back to back a few months ago. I didn't stress...but your video was beautifully reassuring. Always good to know you're not alone. I'm now a full time artist and if it gets real bad I'll get creative with bandanas when I go out. Thanx

So happy I found your video. Had COVID in Jan/ Feb and was in hospital on steroids for the lung inflammation then around March 17 , it started. And it is still going on but your pictures look like mine, so does your scalp pictures. What a relief to know my hair will grow back . The hair loss started to slow down but not stopped. My Dermatologist has recommended Pillfood. A capsule from Spain. It has all the vitamins you were showing but in 1 capsul. You are so right. A person’s mental health is not up to par when this is going on. Success everyone!!!!

OMG thank you so much for this video. I had covid real bad for 3 weeks with long symptoms for over a month. It was end of July and i started losing massive quantities of hair about 4 weeks ago. Every time i take a shower i cry because its just like what you showed. Im also already health issues adding this problem onto all of them has made me horribly depressed. I cry almost every day. In 4 weeks time ive lost 1/2 the hair on my head. My hair is my only feature that i love. Ive aged badly the last 4 years from having many stressful life events including moving across the state, my mom in law died then my baby brother died. Im so glad I found you and your video. It gives me hope.

Thank you SO much for posting this. I had Covid for the first time in September of this year and about three weeks ago, my hair started falling out in clumps and I didn't make the connection because I thought it was due to being in my 40s now and having hormonal changes happen. I was searching YT for hormonal hair loss videos and found this. When I had Covid, it turned into pneumonia and I was SO sick, I have never prayed to god before, but I was praying daily. It lasted for a month and I can't imagine the stress my body was under trying to recover. Thank you thank you for posting this. I feel so much more hope now!!

I've lost maybe 50 percent of my hair and it's been the most traumatizing thing I've gone through. My hair was and is everything to me and mainly because I was diagnosed borderline - being able to change my identity with my hair after a bad situation was healing for me. Thank you for sharing this. Really. I'm crying. I'm doing everything I can to make this stop.

6 weeks post covid my hair started to fall and heaven forbid I ran my fingers thru my hair as I was shampooing and conditioning bc it would come out in clumps. I got so worried I cut it to my shoulders. I did everything: massage, vitamins, modere collagen, switched to organic natural shampoo, Nioxin, slept on silk pillowcase, rosemary rinses and even saw palmetto. Hopefully this passes. I had a horrible covid recovery and experience at the time. Update April 4, 2022: just this month my hair quit falling. I still take vitamins and collagen and I kept the natural shampoos. I might lose 10 strands at most during a shower. Gosh that was such a stressful few months. Update April 22, 2022: hard work and consistency has been slowly paying off. I used to hate the little new growth hair that always stood up around my head but now I just let it stand up and enjoy the fact that anything is growing at all. At most, maybe 10 stands fall in the shower still and I use a soft scrunchie to hold it back.

Thank you for these videos and comments. I been crying for three weeks now and everything you ladies are saying I’m going through it for three weeks. I started saving bags exactly as yours, four quart baggies in six days. I had COVID two times first time it almost took me, the second four weeks of positive test and four months latter still no taste, smell, skin problems, vision problems, etc. but the past three weeks I have just shut down there’s so much beautiful hair that’s is everywhere, I cry in the shower, as I blot my hair to dry I cringe, today I just showered closing my eyes but the hair just falls down getting stuck in my hands and I’ve woke up with just hair laying on my pillow. My hair feels so different it’s not breaking it’s falling from the root and it’s tender on my head but I have such bad headaches. I’m hearing there is hope lord I have so much aniexity about it I even thought what if some cruel person put hair remover in a bottle of shampoo that’s how fast it is falling out. I had lab work and all the mention vitamins I’m extreamly low my t3 and t4 almost not reading a count and death of my dad and almost lost a child all about four months ago so I am not sure exactly if it’s just a combo of Covid and my thyroid but without insurance I only had lab work done and I’m taking supplements because I half to do something. I am so very sorry fir anyone going through this because I have at one point after throwing up and just sitting on the bathroom floor thinking what else could be going on inside my body. The constant vertigo feeling, nausea, anixity, swelling, pain everywhere, now my hair, I feel like there’s a few people who just think I’m making it up but I’m not it’s horribly noticeable not to mention the brain fog, and exhaustion. To the point I’m scared that’s all I’m just scared and looking for answers, I’m so thankful I found your video and I’m so very sorry for all the losses, I’m was at the point trying to pull over areas of my hair today to hide where it’s just gone. I already have gallon bag and quart baggies. But it will stop from what I’m reading and hearing that gives me hope. Has anyone had there teeth to start breaking mine has begun doing that as well. I’m not crazy and I’m not doing this stuff to myself or trying to get attention, I keep it to myself unless it’s a need to know person and I just feel like I’m fading away, I have been driving and had to stop because I seriously forgot where I was going and what I was doing this is happening more and more, loss of memory and trying to speak or say normal words I can’t it comes out all messed up like my mind and voice are having an argument. It’s embarrassing all of it and it’s really causing daily limitations on just waking up and doing normal things. Ladies it will get better right I pray! .

I’m so sorry that you had to go through it too! I’ve been dealing with something similar & am still in the process of trying to get exact diagnosis and treatment. I’ve got some sort of scalp issue I know but I think also the same thing you have. I’ve also lost a ton of my hair! My hair is around half the volume or less of what it used to be! I had Covid in January so I think that’s definitely part of it. It’s starting to slow down now but my hair is sooo thin now! It has been so hard and difficult to deal with emotionally! I can totally relate to showering being traumatic, even looking in the mirror! Thanks for bringing more attention to this issue! Thoughts and prayers with you and all others dealing with hair loss ❤️

I'm right there with ya. I had the flu/rona (whatever, I wasn't tested) in early Nov with bad fever for days and it started falling somewhere in Jan '22. Now I am praying for it to stop!!! I had lots of thick wavy hair and now it's pathetic, lol. It sucks. Cherry on the cake is that I henna my hair (not now) and it's growing out gray with baby hairs everywhere and it's still falling out. Would love to know what's working for you. I'm eating healthy, supplementing and using hair products that are free of chemicals. But I do blowdry lightly to add volume...need to!!
